But things also must be noted that it helped the common people in many ways...public services got
streamlined /efficient overnight, Govt office attendance and work style attained an unimaginable high standard, hotel eatery prices were reduced by Govt decree and so much so local trains started running punctualy on the dots in chaotic place like WB.
In short it was indeed a boon for the common people striving to eke out a living and they had a respite from the never ending ordeals!!
