  • 2:10 - Recap Intro finishes!
In a three-part series over a week, I want to arm you with all of the knowledge you need to go and buy your first road bike, either on Facebook marketplace for less than $1000 OR brand new for less than $2500!
WELCOME TO PART 2 - Vulnerably sharing; I get my materials mixed up a bit in this vid e.g. Aluminium/alloy/steel... generally speaking any bikes reviewed on here that aren't carbon look like aluminium frames :)
I've bought and sold enough bikes in a 3 or 4-year period to have made some errors along the way, where I would have appreciated someone to call on who could have shared their knowledge when I was starting out! Despite that, I've had some incredible experiences on the bike and have maintained my love for the sport and I want to now share that passion with newbies who want to give it a crack.
Hit me up on Instagram - if you are looking to purchase your first or second bike for that matter, I will answer any of your questions OR point you in the right direction :)

Love this video, I am also new to cycling , my first bike was a 2022 Giant Contend AR3 Disc, went through a lot with her and learned so much. I just finished building my second , it’s an older Marin Alps that I’ve converted to a Road bike, carbon drops and stem, seat post saddle and crankset Fulrum racing 4, converted to thru axle and disc, for me personally building my second bike was much more pleasing than purchasing a new one. I knew what I wanted and I knew what my capabilities were so I just went for it and now I have the bike that I’m proud of thank you so much for posting. I think you have a wonderful concept and I enjoy looking.

Thanks so much Adam! So great to hear that you're enjoying your cycling and I would love for you to watch Part 3 tomorrow as the Giant Contend features!! I had a Marin mountain bike as a kid - rode everywhere on the thing! Yours sounds link and absolutely epic build and sometimes a labour of love means a lot more than the flashy expensive thing hey. Really pleased that you're finding value in the series and your feedback makes it all worth it! Cheers legend
