This movie could of been so much more if it only focused on Harry and Sandman as the villains. Peter’s story should of been about how powerful he was with the symbiote, but how he was pushing everyone away from him, basically being Spider-Man 24/7 and making no time for his life as Peter Parker. Harry should of been popping up like he did at the start but multiple times and only care about tying to kill him, but not being able to because the symbiote is making Peter too strong. Sandman should of just repeatedly tried to rob banks for his daughter but always getting stopped by Spider-Man. Should of ended with Peter giving up the symbiote after releasing his lost everyone close to him, and then have to deal with how hard it is to stop Harry from killing him, only barely surviving their next encounter. The end fight should of been Sandman trying to kill Spider-Man during a bank robbery because at this point he has been unsuccessful in getting the money he needs for his daughter. He knows it’s his daughter or Spider-Man, and turns full villain. Harry, who at first joins in on taking down Spider-Man, sees Peter close to death and saves him, bringing their friendship back around full circle. Sandman, beaten and ashamed of trying to kill Peter, explains why he’s robbing banks, ending with Harry offering to pay for the operation himself. End credits would be Eddie getting the symbiote on him, but not Topher Grace and more like Venom from the comics.
Raimi plan was that, but some sony executives change the plans and forced venom on the movie, then raimi had fun doing it (dance scene and some others are examples). After knowing that i know the real spider man 3 would be even greater.

I mean if that happened it woulda been 10 times more depressing and probably even like the death of superman's impact. There woulda been so many kids crying seeing their hero die. I could imagine Harry in Peters honor would replace Spiderman as New York's new super hero, and change his name to The Righteous Glider
