For sustained success, the organization should understand the current and future needs and expectation of the customer and relevant interested parties and exceed them.
Following are the 7 principles of Quality Management
1. Customer Focus
2. Leadership
3. Engagement of People
4. Process Approach
5. Improvement
6. Evidence-based decision making
7. Relationship Management
There are 3 key things which need to be focused (refer to IATF 16949:2016). They are
a) customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements are determined, understood and consistently met
b) the risks and opportunities that can affect the conformity of products and services and the ability to enhance customer satisfaction are determined and addressed
c) the focus on enhancing customer satisfaction is maintained:
The prime focus of the organization should be to meet the customer requirements, create more value and enhance their confidence in them.
