Thank you for sharing your stitching room with us. I love vintage furniture and think the magazine rack is a wonderful way to display your quilts! Love how you decorate!
What a joy to see all of your beautiful creations!!!! Stunning!!!! Your lap quilt with the Frog and Toad books and stuffed frog is adorable-you know that will be treasured by the person who is lucky enough to be the highest bidder- would love to see a Christmas video!
Your stitching room is lovely and so comfortable. The floss cabinet is a wonderful gift and the magazine stand is perfect for it! The quilt you made for the silent auction is so cute along with the other items arranged in the basket, a generous donation. Thanks for sharing!
You must, must, must someday introduce your sister to us!!!! I especially loved the bear she made for you. All the rooms in your house are beautiful. You surely use your time wisely to get all the things done that you do. You are a blessing to watch and I get lots of inspiration from you. Please keep up the good work!!!!
Thank you so much Carol! I would love to introduce my sister, unfortunately we don’t live close to each other. My sister is such an inspiration to me. She is a beautiful quilter and stitcher! We love to share our ideas with each other too. I would love to do a video with her for sure! Hopefully in the future.
Elaine S from Menominee MI I just found you what a beautiful person you are. Absolutely love your video's. Could you tell us again the name of the frog quilt pattern. I think I also saw it in your kitchen as a Christmas quilt. Keep up the great work. Thank you.
Thank you Elaine! The quilt was a pattern that was given to quilt shops to give away. It is called Square Dance. It is an older pattern so the quilt shop no long can get it. I will ask for their permission to see if it is available to share as it is copyrighted.
You are truly blessed with immense talent! Do you ever give classes ? I’m so impressed with your eye for colors and patterns. I generally end up just using a “line” and then I have tons of scraps. It so fun regardless . Obviously your husband is a great gift giver too!! I can’t begin to tell you how gorgeous and professional it all is… I have Muffy bears also, you give me great display ideas! God bless you and thanks for sharing!,😊❤
I woke up in the middle of the night and came out to my computer. There was your video. So relaxing and inspiring. You are filled with peace and it shows in your home. The picture your son painted is just beautiful. I am always inspired when I watch your videos. Everything is just perfectly displayed and very homey. I call it "playing with my toys". Your DMC cabinet is just beautiful on the stand you chose, and how nice you can store quilts in the bottom of the stand. Thank you for sharing your room with us.
Hi there, wow. I love seeing all your beautiful quilts and stitching. You are so very talented. I made myself a fleece little pouch to place over my magnifying glass lamp as I do worry about it being exposed, just a thought. The green quilt is so pretty too.. thanks for sharing. Wish I lived near to say hi. Best wishes Alison
oh my good nesss!!!!!! i LOVE YOUR STITCHING ROOM!!! The DMC box is lovely. i love the little touches you add to a room. Very inspirational. it is so calming and peaceful! Great job and you are a very talented lady! thank you for sharing
I made a cover for my lamp with the magnifying glass in it. I used to just keep a towel over it. I need to make a new one some day with a block or special fabric. I had used some pre quilted scrap fabric.
Always look forward to a new video from you! Love all of your quilts and projects and your DMC cabinets are the perfect addition to your new sewing room! Thanks for sharing!
Your stitching room is gorgeous!! The quilts and colors are beautiful!!! How wonderful to have not one, but two DMC thread holders! I love antiques!! The green quilt and frog is just precious! So creativity and talent is endless!!! So fun to watch
Love Love love the charity quilt and basket! Would love to know the pattern! I can look at it and figure it out, but still want to know the pattern. Your sewing room is wonderful. Thank you for sharing.
Hi Suzan. I just watched. I have a vintage wooden ironing board that I keep out all the time. I use it daily. To me it is like a piece of beautiful furniture. Probably the best gift/tool I bought was the DMC box. I organize mine like Karen Combs does hers on her flosstube. It is all by numerical order. Then when you pull a skein out of the box you put an IOU note to replace it. I use it almost every day too. I find it easy to consult the dmc chart and go right to the number. My husband likes to say it was an anniversary gift. It did let him know, though, that I was ordering it. I keep a tin with the 35 colors of dmc etoile in the bottom drawer. I originally bought it on Amazon. I use some of the etoile in almost everything I stitch. So are you the older or younger sister? My sister and I are 15 months apart. I am the oldest. We are both stitchers. Growing up we even had somewhat of a rivalry between us. We were challenged having a mother who could have given Martha Stewart lessons. Thanks for sharing. You always inspire me to work on my stitchy space.
Thank you Ann! I will certainly look at that flosstube and see how to organize the floss. That sounds like a really good way to do it. My sister is older than I am. I like the IOU note you place in your thread box to let you know to replace your inventory. Great tip!
The frog square dance quilt is so. Cute. Where did you find the patttern and how big is it? It looks fresh and summery. You do such a nice job quilts and decorating.
Wow. Just found your site. Enjoyable. Can you share where you got the pattern for the heart quilt that was over the chair? Everything was so beautiful.
I enjoyed your video. You’re stitching room looks lovely. I’m going to make a little cover for my magnifying light I think, especially for the summer when my room gets lots of sun in the afternoon. May I ask what part of the country you live in? I was thinking the south, but not if you have already had snow! The thread boxes are a special way to store your floss - what a great gift!
Susan, always nice to see your quilt room decorations! You also showed another version of the "Square Dance" baby quilt last May. Who is the pattern by?
Vivian, the pattern was a free pattern that was given out to quilt shops. I did ask my quilt shop for the pattern again and it is not available. However they told me that they can still get it and email it. I will check on it again and get back to you. Thank you!
So nice to see you again! Love how you have your stitch-room set up. Your quilts are beautiful. You mentioned your anniversary, will we ever get to meet the other half of the Pig Tail? Take care❤

I live in Montana. It gets warm in summer, but we have cold snowy winters too. Great idea to make a cover for your magnifier light!

Thank you so much! I will have to have my husband make an appearance on one of my videos some time. He is kind of shy:) though.
What kind of batting do you use ? Do you wash the quilt after you get it back from the longarmer ?
