The base for the eagle is nephrite jade, but it's of lower quality which is why they used it for the base. I believe the material is from Canada and the carving was done in China.

Sonoran Picker Yeah sales have been ultra slow on eBay right now, I'm not getting half the traffic I used to. Summer tends to slow down to a crawl for eBay then when the holidays come it explodes again.

The base for the jade eagle carving is made of a really nice hunk of jade, as well. If I were to see that at a garage sale, I would definitely buy it.

basically the equivalent to a water level.

the jade rock is actualy Chinese jade and that is super expensive
