Bara or Wo is delicious pancake made from lentil. Newars from Kathmandu valley in Nepal use this very often. Especially for some happy occasions like wedding, or festival (JATRA).
It is often used with Newari set lunch called ‘Samhebaji'. It is served for the goodluck for beloved ones which is called ‘Sagun’.
Ingredients for making authentic Nepali/Newari BARA.
1. For authentic and Traditional BARA / WO:
Green gram lentils Or Black lentils 500gms
Salt as your taste
Ginger/Garlic paste 50gms
Egg how many you want
sunflower oil
green corriander or mint leaves
