      Just imagine the first conversation about wool
      "Listen to me, JUST listen to me Rick! You see that animal there? I'm gonna give it a haircut. Nonono I promise you it makes sense!"

      @ "nah Jerry i don't know about it. Look how dirty it is!" "Rick, how do you get clean? Do you bathe in dirt or do you use soap and water? Use your head"

    I wonder how much each of these machines cost. Bet it’s more than the typical person could casually afford.

      The rug gun only costs a few hundred usd. You have to have your canvas and yarn. It's cheaper than ceramics at home. And the pleating machine is also probably cheap enough to afford

      A few hundred USD for the rug gun is still pretty expensive. Unless that’s how you make your livelihood, most people wouldn’t give it a go to see if it’s for them. But thanks for the info.

      Most of this stuff can be done by hand

    • @michellebyrom6551
      @michellebyrom6551 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@PsychoticAndChaotic anything currently done with DIY power tools was once done routinely by hand. It takes a lot more time, strength and skill to do competently though. That's why handmade is so much more expensive. Machines like this make artisan production more affordable for ordinary folks to buy.

      Yeah, if you're heavily into the handicrafts these are associated with, the costs are actually pretty reasonable. It's all based on perspective, really. If you aren't familiar with them, $250 for a spinning wheel probably sounds *astronomically expensive*. But people who are into spinning their own yarn know that that's the BUDGET version, and the really good ones can cost thousands.

    What does it say about me that I have quite a few of these? I’ve thought about a sock knitting machine but I really prefer knitting socks by hand.

      So number 5 is knitted? Not crochet?

    I like the quilt designs but I'm not fussed about the others. Don't get me wrong, these people are creative and work hard on their craft and are very skilful. I'm just not into their styles.
