      The next bowling ball you make with the epoxy resin I would recommend putting a variety of colors in it but cover up the finger and thumb holes before you pour the resin. You can use the other ball as a reference to drill the one you make.

      @@timadamsart I think it costs more up front because you have to build the mold first. But once you do that, you can reuse it multiple times. I plan on making a ball for me and will be doing a similar process, but I'm gonna put a weight block in it. It will be a slow process buying and gathering up all the materials, but I'll be able to make one eventually.

      @@timadamsart Will do. Did you use casting epoxy or tabletop epoxy?
      Just for starters, I'm going to make a completely clear ball first, and am wondering which epoxy I need to use. I'm assuming I will have to pour the epoxy into the mold in layers like you did here, but since it will be clear, will that result in visible pour lines in the final product or no?

    I want to make a solid hemisphere that it 8" in diameter. This might be perfect. I tried concrete but it was a bit too crumbly after a lot of use. I cant tell from your video what Mr. Boat product you used and the website shows lots of different types. Can you tell me more specifically what you used? Thanks.

    • @timadamsart
      @timadamsart  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      With the experience we have now, I would just choose a deep pour. For the bowling ball we used an Epoxy where you can only pour 3cm at a time. So you have a lot of layers. We now only work with the 10cm Resion Epoxy from Polyestershoppen and we really like it. Product links in the description of each Epoxy video.

    Did you think of putting a center in it that allowed it to be more consistent with a real bowling ball?

    • @timadamsart
      @timadamsart  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The bowling balls you get at the bowling alley when you go bowling with your friends don't have a special center. We were more concerned about whether it was possible to make a bowling ball from Epoxy and whether it works on the court.
