'The Shoot Out' by Michael Nyman

'The Shoot Out' is from the original motion picture soundtrack to 2000 film 'The Claim', directed by Michael Winterbottom.
The music is performed by the Michael Nyman Orchestra and available on Virgin UK label. Many of the pieces have also been rearranged for solo piano by Nyman and are available on the MN Record 'The Piano Sings': bit.ly/2hf6d8M
The Claim is Michael Nyman's first score for a Western, and his second collaboration with Michael Winterbottom. In it Nyman pays homage to Ennio Morricone's Western scores. "The Shootout" also incorporates material from 'A Zed & Two Noughts' and 'Prospero's Books' in a layered manner with elements of the main themes of the score and a Morricone-style trumpet motif.
