Beautiful love story. This film represents everything a great romantic drama should be. Watched it for the second time last night. Truly a masterpiece and a very underrated movie.
This music is so beautiful, so is the movie. The actors are really good as well, and gorgeous... I am wondering if living such a passion is possible in real life... I doubt.
it is possible to happen, but is imposible to live ... perhaps, it's given to know it sometimes ... some mortals like us ... and has to pay for that ... :)
done that and paid for :) ... i know, but was about the passion. we can live after, better or rather worse, but the passion can't be consumed ... it has to die in apogee. that means sublime ... don't shoot me, i'm just a mortal :) ...
Have you read the novel? If you haven't, then please do so and try to read everything by Graham Greene. Surely the greatest novelist of the English language.
I cannot explain how or why I love Michael Nyman and Rachmaninoff s music so strongly. I tried to contain it but when I heard Michael Nyman died I wept uncontrollably. I hate to cry, but my tears came from regret.A horrible undeniable regret that I was never able to tell him how much his music enriches the human existence. This life is more bearable with his beautiful music. He not only shared his passion for love through his music, he made the listener want more out of life. We make our way thru life only showing the outside....he shared his most private feelings thru his music .For that I am so grateful and the world is a better place.
I saw him perform at the Barbican on the 14/11/2016. He is very much alive and played his new pieces! Luckily also played "The Heart Asks Pleasure First" Ah dreamy dreamy!
Nick Machiavelli wow I don't know whether I'm more shocked or thrilled that he's alive! This is really weird cuz I definitely remember hearing he died I saw it on the news. Anyway thank you for telling me that's great. Thank you so much.
I'm a frequenter of this song, as I usually listen to it as my relationships come crashing down into oblivion. something beautiful in it, really.. Anyways, thanks for the share.. got me through 3 so far, let's go for broke...
In just a couple of bars of music at the opening of the film, the depth, emotion and gravity are instantly conveyed by MN's wonderful score. I've met him on a couple of occasions but not had time to discuss TEOTA. All the more poignant to me, having lived through very similar events - as did the book's author (he dedicated it to "C").
I still haven't watched the end of this film. I stop when they are at Brighton and are photographed kissing. I could/can see where it's going and I don't need that level of heartache.
hey i actually ended up buying the soundtrack off of itunes. before i couldn't find it anywhere but amazon mp3 but everything worked out. thanks so much for getting back to me though :)
Bella banda sonora y bellìsima pelìcula. Los actores estàn que se salen de la pantalla..He buscado la novela original de Graham Greene, pero me han dicho que està descatalogada. Alguien sabe donde se puede hallar?

unfortunately it is... and if it's happening left your heart scorched for the rest of your life. I don't know about movie, but the book after the movie was made, couldn't have been written but someone who lived such a pain. I know this.
@@peterpredescu2508 Indeed, you seem to have experienced that kind of pain! I'm sure you do not regret as I'm sure the passion as intense during as the pain was after when you broke up, isn't it?
@@sabrinalautier2075no and yes ;) no, I could never regret it. yes, the passion and the pain are tangled when you assume an impossible love, but yeah the pain after the broke was quite... unbearable. this movie is not just a diary of hate but the pain also.
I watched this movie more than 6 or 7 times, just to listen to its music. Micheal Nyman is not just a musician, he is a real human being.
And a real hero!
Likewise
Beautiful love story.

Truly a masterpiece and a very underrated movie.
This soundtrack is too beautiful for words. Specifically this composition and the way it overlaps with Love Doesn't End.
This music will always stay with me, and the actors trio!
Gets me every time
Me too..
Una historia q jamas olvidaré. Una música mágica!
This reminds me of what happened to me this track is fab
Graham Green will always be the best story writer in the 20th century
