Hi and good luck with your studies, when you say that the TSH housing can be full really quickly in matter of time you mean days, hours or minutes and the ones they succeed how do they do it?

It is pretty much a matter of minutes! Normally, one needs to know exactly when the registration period opens up SSH and TSH to immediately apply for a room and have a chance of securing it

This is mad. I have been looking for a place to stay for over 3 months now. My budget isn’t small at all. I would be willing to pay up to 1000€, but still there’s no chance in finding anything. University starts in less than 4 weeks. Now I’m thinking about changing university, just because I can’t find a place. Ridiculous.

So you didn't get the advice from Dutch universities to stay away if you don't have secured yourself a place to stay?
Because a lot of people are attracted to the Netherlands the country is overflowing with people who need housing.
The problem is that there are too few houses available to even accommodate Dutch citizens, let alone the thousands of fugitives, expats and foreign students.

cuz most landlord require ppl to have a job and on top of that to earn at least 3X their monthly rent CRAZY,so even workers is having it hard

@@fatisummer9106 It's the housing situation that enables landlords to make such demands. To be quite honest. if I have a room to let, I'm sure as hell am not going to let it to a struggling student who can barely afford their food. I'll have no problem letting the room to the hardworking bricklayer with a steady income and more than enough money to spend.
Why don't universities invest the millions they have stashed away in housing for the students that they need. in stead of relying on the tax payer's money to build housing for the students they need to survive?

A little bit away from downtown Rotterdam it becomes cheaper.
And I'll let you in on little sercret:
Small (motor)yachts can be bought for little money, and then you can live in any harbor which accepts visitors.

Is it still extremely difficult to find a place if you are willing to pay significantly above the market rate?

    • @errkais

It can be easier, but there is no guarantee that it will be absolutely simple

@@errkais That's awesome! I'm starting my studies in September and I'm already a bit anxious about the whole housing issue but your video definitely helped.
Other than that it'd be really cool to see videos on places to visit in Rotterdam, food recommendations or things you wish you knew before you started your studies in Rotterdam. Have a beautiful day, Erkaiym!
