I’ve been sewing for decades but I still like simple patterns and easy sews. Otherwise it’s not fun for me. I use the same patterns with fresh ideas over and over and over. I think I use my more creative skills when I start with a very simple pattern!
Thanks for the ideas. I haven't sewn in many years. These patterns are a good start to refresh my sewing skills and making my own patterns again. I think sewing is like riding a bike again (lol I hope 😂).

I love these videos, such a great resource for us who are new to garment making and are easily swayed by the gorgeous patterns, but don't have the mad skills yet LOL. I really love your sew alongs, they are amazing. Thank you again and keep these coming, would love to see your fave complicated makes LOL. Also the tip about no more than 5 pattern pieces from the original (knits) video is GENIUS. I was about to cut something that had 12 pieces and I was like 'Brittany warned me about this..' Just thank you so so much
Great choices! I wish the big 4 (5) would make dress patterns for those of us with pear shaped bodies! you can tell by the photos on the patterns where the one piece patterns are baggy on the top and snug on the hips. I also wish they would make all their patterns available to the extended sizes! I like simple styles since I'm fluffy and ruffley already I don't need more to accentuate my size and there are some pretty cute simple designed patterns in the smaller sizes that aren't available for my use!

My first pattern was Simplicity 1463, 6 pieces I think and the hardest part was the neck band but I survived! Went onto a difficult project after 😂.

The wrap skirt M8259 and M7630 can be made with wovens, stable knits and stretch wovens. Always a bonus if a pattern can be used multiple times.
