Wow.. we need to unpack the tragedy in order to recover the self not just release the energy connected to the event.. profoundly wise! A really fantastic interview. One of the best i've seen on thinking allowed. Thank you Pierre and Jeffrey. Thinking allowed is amazing!!

I love this program so much even though I profoundly disagree with the political persuasions of Jeffrey and the majority of his guests. I love what you love! We should not assume that the opinions of those we disagree with are founded in anger or hatred.

enlightening as usual. i do feel the need to point out that there is a video recording of the incident where you can clearly and distinctly hear the report of two different rifles, one being much closer to the crowd than the other. it was brought to my attention by a combat veteran, but you dont need to be any kind of firearms specialist to percieve it

This gentleman is quite right in my view. There is now a gentle amazing technique to heal old wounds in the present tense because the old anger and fears are still directing our responses now. Emotional Freedom Technique is a SIMPLE system to easily heal the original traumas in short order and without nashing of the teeth as we therapists spent much time helping clients do. I refer you to Nick Otner, a great practitioner on line. The more we voters heal our own legitimate angers and other injustices the sooner we will come into a new kind of political arena of goodwill. I believe we could right now do it in a massive way as soon as we develop appealing clinics where it is the "IN" thing to clear our rants and rages. Many addictions, physical pains, PTSD, and numerous other challenges are healed by this method. AND, parents, and others, can learn it to help children recognize fear, and how to self heal. Nick, and colleagues have done great things for the school shootings traumas. We just need EFT successes to really go viral. NIck is going in that direction. And needs some scientists to be healed by it so they can spend time explaining WHY it works. And one is never too old to be helped by it! Heh...heh..CHEERS!

Since the recent shooting in Las Vegas was mentioned I’d like to suggest the possibility that the shooter was hypnotized. Sirhan Sirhan, who shot Robert Kennedy, claims he was hypnotized by a woman with extraordinary eyes he met in a bar, and when he shot Kennedy he thought he was aiming at a target at a shooting range. I had a similar experience. I did not do anything destructive, but I was striking at wasps chasing me in my home and when I saw a wasp the size of a bird I realized what had happened and the hallucinations ceased. We are seeing these mass shootings or bombings being committed by persons who had not previously shown signs of mental illness or violence and those that know them well are shocked.

Interesting possibility. I like Pierre's approach, which -- supposing for the moment that your theory turned out to be the case -- would not change. I think in that scenario, we could still try to understand the perpetrator -- i.e., the hypnotist(s). What would lead a person (or group of people) to do such a thing? What image(s) could they have of themselves? What anger are *they* carrying? What is their world-view? Same questions.

Oh, I'm not keeping up with the program. But how can anyone turn a gun (and such a powerful one at that) on their fellowman,.....on their fellow countryman, and so indiscriminately. And from a guy in his 60s? The mind boggles.
The failure to deal with the ego and fooled by the illusion of separation. Where in the world do we see the best example of that mindset.....?
