- I have wanted to film this overview of my capsule closet solution for a while but it's felt overwhelming for all the reasons I split my clothes out to begin with. This makes daily dressing much simpler because I use an almost uniform guideline and I've also been able to keep my maximalist closet while still having a seasonal wardrobe to pull from day to day

I loved this video so so much that I was watching on my TV with a brew on Sunday morning, I thought I needed to get on my phone and leave you a comment. I 100% agree it feels like a massive chore to get the bags of clothes you put away 😂 mine are in the attic, they might as well be in Antarctica as to how I feel about getting them down and sorting. Your video has also woken me up to the items I hang on to as to when I loose x2 dress sizes. You have inspired me to take out the things that don't fit from my wardrobe and leave in the things that do, so I smile rather than dread the morning outfit dilemma. I bought some khaki pants and a sand coloured top from tesco recently I went up a size. But WOW do I feel different in them so so comfy, colour Palette suits my skintone and I have had compliments left right and centre. In reality it is as comfy as my pjs but I look put together. I have also been trying to make more of an effort with my appearance as like you say, it's self care 😊😊😊😊
Yes 👏🏻👏🏻 and if you feel most comfortable in pjs.. what’s the elevated equivalent? Linen trousers and a smart tshirt! That HAS to be the first step to personal style, surely?

Great video Khila. I’m the process of slowly putting the heavy winter clothes away and introducing my summer stuff. It’s a whole process!! But it gives me the opportunity twice a year to cull items which (in my heart) I know I won’t wear. Also, recently I’ve decided to only buy for the actual life I lead and not for my aspirational life - even if I love an item, if I can’t see it as a potential everyday piece, I don’t buy it. Already I have saved myself a hefty sum. Thanks for the video. X
That’s what I used to do in an old house.. I loved feeling like I had new clothes twice a year because I forgot what I had 😂 but I did find that I was buying things I already had

I will say, skinny jeans lasted so long for me because they NEVER needed ironing. I have actually started having to (get lee to) iron things!!!
I’m just like you. A shirt over everything. Although largely these days to cover my arms🙄. The open clothes rails too, so I can see everything. I also add in and take out bits as the season changes like you do. Loved your real life capsule wardrobe. Chocolate accidents included 😂

I’ve got things that I bought in the ‘80s onwards. Things come back into fashion so I’m with you on not just throwing stuff away. If I don’t have something that’s come into fashion again, I search vinted, or charity shops and I’ll usually find something similar, usually better quality and in nicer fabrics. And much cheaper! I’m wearing trousers more often than jeans at the moment.
Totally agree! Fast fashion has ruined the quality of items so, if anything, you’re getting better stuff when you buy older clothes
