Manchester airport doesn't really look that different from the 1970s. The main differences I think are the aircrafts themselves, most of the planes didn't have sky bridges then, they were all portable stairways. And if I recall, there were plane spotters on the roof with free access to it back then
@@ManchesterAviation, I was just a kid in the 1970s myself. There was only one terminal at Manchester Int airport then too. And most aircrafts I remember being the smaller narrow-bodied types. Now, there are many 767s and 777s. And, I think that there were only international flights to other parts of Europe back then. When we were flying to America, we stopped through London Heathrow

Sadly the roof was before my time, the closest we have now is the T1 roof!
