During my youth i could remember listening to the Lone Ranger on the radio then watching him on the black and white TV ! All my life I have tried to live my life like the Lone Ranger ? I try to help those in need and right the unrightable wrongs ! I have been used and wronged by many but that does not deter my mission in life ! The Lone Ranger shall always be my mentor ! All people should learn from this wonderful charactor ! HI YO SILVER AWAY !!!
We had some of that on cassette tapes for long car rides when I was a kid, but I never took to them. I was too attached to the voices of Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels. I was also rather partial to some other things we had on cassette, like Adventures in Odyssey.
You still hear part of the radio show at the end of every episode. That's Buck Jones saying "Hi ho Silver away" He originally said it in the radio program.
I just found FETV which have a lot of those old shows. They came out before I was born. I'm not crazy about westerns, but that I like. How many actors were the lone ranger the one on FETV definitely different. Was he ever demasked?
Only two actors played the Lone Ranger on TV. Clayton Moore (who appeared in this episode) is probably best-known in the part. But another stuntman by the name of John Hart played the character in 52 episodes (for reasons that are...disputable). Moore played the Lone Ranger more broadly, smiling a lot and obviously enjoying himself immensely. Hart was more stiff and formal, rarely smiling - a completely different "take" on the role. Although John Hart did a good job, fans persuaded the TV studio to bring Moore back. He's been indelibly identified with the part ever since.
Outlaws DID take his mask off in one episode. His back was to the camera. One of them said, "He doesn't look like anyone I've ever seen." Then they put his mask back on.
Another thrilling episode. Funny how the same town {i know it by the small church} shows up. No big deal though. I had a feeling that that either Mrs. Bryce or Jeb shot at Ed Tucker and killed the banker. But then realized that Mrs. Bryce was the guilty person.
Although I like the show but tell which horse in this world have the speed of light!!! They really used foolish statement back in the days...well I guess didn't know better and there wasn't a world full of critics like today's world...lol lol

One of my favorite westerns! Nothing like the Lone Ranger/ Tonto. What a team.
I had few childhood heroes, the Lone Ranger was one of them.
You never get tired of the Ranger
Wow! I love watching the Lone Ranger and Tonto and the horse silver. Good show !
the lone ranger knows everything
He sure does
This dude , tucker, is the only one that acknowledges tonto. In some shows no one really looks at tonto or incudes him in conversations. I like tonto😊
This was a great episode.

The only episodes that he doesn't have a mask on in, he is either in disguise, or the very first episode, but you only see about half his face

I love long R
THEY CANT EVEN PLAY SHORT EPISODE AND HAVE TO PUT IN STUPID COMMERCIALS LOVE THE LONE RANGER AND TONTO
Tonto looked thirsty at the start of the show. Why’d the Lone Ranger offer his horse but not Tonto a drink. The Indian was plenty dry.
Tonto drinks his own urine and he is too mean to share it out, that is why the Lone Ranger gave the last drop of water to his horse instead.
The lone ranger has on more eye shadow than ms. Bryce.
It's Prince Baron
That’s what I call a real man, water 💦 the horse 🐴 first!
let me know if any of you rember that let me know

They use that as the closing scene for a LOT of their episodes. It just costs a lot less than shooting a new closing scene for each of them!
That's for sure.

The studio saved money by using the same indoor "town" sets, "the large rock" (fake) and the same periodic pieces of music.

Tonto is always getting koshed. I'll bet he has very few brain cells remaining. I have never seen the ranger getting his bell rung.
