    Got my nephew and his GF into bow shooting after they got to shoot a mathews v3X similar to mine and they both got the bowtech edge 320, and for the money it's a very good Bow for the money and starting out.. they shoot pretty smoothly and have held up well after a year of alot of shooting and being banged around

    Im digging that bottom lands camo big time. Bear is bringing it on strong with their mainline bows. Huge fan of Bears new bow, saying that and i own two other flag ships from bowtech and elite.

    Excellent description & demonstration. Huge, huge help. Very informative. I am definitely interested in this bow. Looking hard at the Species & Legit for over a year.
    Budget ultimately dictates these days. I recently shot the old model Adapt. Bow Shop gent recommended I try it. It was smoother through the entire draw than the Species. Is this worth the additional money from the Species in your opinion? Thank you for great content.

      Thanks for watching! I suggest the Adapt if it's possible, especially the new Plus being it comes with a whole lot for just an extra $100, over the regular Adapt. They should be hitting our website any day now 👍

    Do these have the same size idler wheel as the Resurgence LD? I love the giant cam and wheel on the Resurgence LD model. Not sure why they went back smaller ? I think the larger idler wheel gives a smoother pull and better string angle

    Just getting into compound bow hunting. Mid 50s. Looking at the Bear Species or the Adapt + . 26" draw not sure where I'd be as draw weight. Which do you recommend? also 60lb or 70lb limbs? From your reviews doesn't seem like I could go wrong with either one.

    Did the species ev come with the limb stop??? When I ordered my bow directly from bear last year i didn't get one!! just the cable stop on the cam Thanks great review!! i will buy from you next time.

    • @BetterOutdoorsarchery
      @BetterOutdoorsarchery  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey George, thanks foe watching! Unfortunately the Species EV has no limb stop capability despite it and the Adapt sharing the same bottom cam (or nearly the same anyway). The Species EV has only the cable stop.

    Do you recommend the resurgence rth or the adapt plus for their first bow?

    • @BetterOutdoorsarchery
      @BetterOutdoorsarchery  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a super tough question tbh. I like the draw of the Adapt but the speed of the Resurgence. Now that the Adapt+ is out, that really makes it harder being how nice the accessories are that come with it

  • @royleerobinson5

    Question. I have the adapt and it’s a #70 how much do you think I can safely twist up the cables? I feel #72 is fine what about #75?

    • @BetterOutdoorsarchery
      @BetterOutdoorsarchery  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I wouldn't get too carried away even on the 72 as you will wreak havoc on the nock travel/cam rotation and opens the door for some terrible high/low paper tears & broadheads/bare shafts.

    • @BetterOutdoorsarchery
      @BetterOutdoorsarchery  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It is a very first step bow and can be passed down to a younger shooter too which can be handy. We actually quit selling those as the Species EV was more bang for the buck. The Adapt+ is even more so.

      We have been short on time unfortunately. I am not sure that we will have the opportunity to do it this season. We're almost out of them in store as well.

  • @drmitofit2673
    @drmitofit2673 ปีที่แล้ว

    One inherent characteristic of single cam bows is that the bowstring is double length and sometimes a standard peep can turn different degrees shot to shot. Sometimes I have to adjust the peep almost 90 degrees off at rest so it will align at draw (PSE Stinger). Maybe I need more twists in the bowstring to stabilize it better. I am not a fan of peeps that align with an elastic band pointed at my eyeball.

    • @BetterOutdoorsarchery
      @BetterOutdoorsarchery  ปีที่แล้ว

      Most definitely. Single cams benefit the most from a upgraded string to help that. Very few of our packages end up using a tube peep and instead go to an aluminum style peep.

      If your comparing a long bow or recurve to a compound....then compare long bow and recurve to spear throwing

    • @michaelb2076
      @michaelb2076 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      A more appropriate comment would be that the crossbow isn't archery.

    • @paulspeers272
      @paulspeers272 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I had a Ben Pearson recurve as a teenager and loved it. Of course I was young and strong. I got out of archery for many years but started shooting again when I was about 30. It was all about compounds then and I bought 3 Martin bows in about 3 years. I enjoyed them all. I also bought an “Indian” bow I believe was a Miles Keller (?). I then bought a Hoyt which I still have 35 years later. I have since sold all but the Hoyt which I used last year to take a javelina in Az. After selling the other compounds my wife bought me a Martin Mamba. I have also taken javelina with that. I then went crazy and got 2 custom long bows. I have taken javelina in Az with those and wild pigs in Ca. Now that I am 70 and have had torn rotators in both shoulders I am back to a low draw weight compound! My point is that flinging arrows is great fun with a true stick and string or a compound. Just get to it.
