I just found this because I'm subbed to this record label and earlier today saw this band recommended as good prog. And they were right. wow this is good
@@dementialdistortion I definitely get opeth vibes from the lads but it doesn't sound anything like new opeth and doesn't really sound anything like old opeth either. There are elements that remind me of various breakdowns from blackwater Park/ghost reveries but other than that they really are wildly different in approach and especially orchestration and mood. Most definitely similar to opeth, nowhere near identical.

Also the bands you mentioned have prog elements but they are not prog in the sense of Opeth or Wilderun (long tracks with lots of variation on repeating themese, and so on).

Damn! Definitely not a song for beginner prog listeners. I've listened to prog for 10 years yet this song was a lot to take in for me on first listen. My only problem was that this single version felt rushed and incoherent. I'm sure the full version would be a lot better.
