Very nice video! Some advice coming from a Mom that had this hair style in the 1980's - you would be better off investing in a good set of hot rollers rather than curling every section with a curling iron. You will get better volume plus it won't take as long to style your hair. You will still need the iron for the top and for touch-ups but seriously, hot rollers is the way to go. Have fun with your pretty hair!!
I totally agree, although I had best luck with MIST/STEAM rollers.
I can never get hot rollers to stay. They always wind up hanging off my head.
@@erinwiseman1560 You're just putting the pins in wrong! Push the plat side along your scalp. Bit of pracice & you will get it. Worth doing!
Alan Edwards who cut Farrah's hair in the 70s cut my hair in San Francisco at a hair show when I was in beauty school in 1982 on stage.
dyanswill wow that’s amazing!!!!!!
Omg I luvvv I used to do hairstyles like this all the time and definetly want to bring it back
Millië Escoto fo sho!!!! I love big hair😍
Voluminous bouncy waves and curls never really go out of fashion
wow that looks amazing on you!!!
Lovely hair, what a good idea to keep in the curl while it cools. Thank you.
I accomplished that hair style very easily with the right cut & hot rollers! Never had to fuss very much at all!
Bonnie Deibel that’s awesome!!!! For me this is the easiest way because it would take like like 50 rollers for my head of hair!😂
if i wanted to get this cut at a salon what would i say?
Your hair is beautiful and thick. So healthy. Perfect for this look
Thankyou!!!
This is exactly the tutorial I’ve been searching for!! Thank you so much my hair looks ALMOST as good as when I leave the salon now
Thankyou!!!! That’s why I started this channel in the first place! So clients and others could recreate awesome looks at home ❤️❤️❤️ so happy you enjoyed it!
I've been dying to do a hairstyle like this!! Thank you
Nine Lives I’m so happy you enjoyed it!!!💓💓
I was in high school when this look was in style. I used to use a round brush with a dryer to make our “wings”..and then use a curling iron in the front.. always got that brush..stuck in my hair your version is cool!. And a lot of us just used hot rollers
That hair though!!! So beautiful 😍 going to try doing it that way.
Farrah Fawcett had one of the most beautiful hairstyles ever. This young lady, like Farrah has a ton of thick hair which is why it worked so well on both of them.
Girl u are so beautiful omg this is gonna help me so much with my flat hair lol
Thankyou so much! I hope it does!!!
Omggg I love it!!! 🤎
Kira Faith Thankyou!!!🥰
Absolutely beautiful. Your hair is hair goals. I love it ... Definitely will be trying your techniques soon. Thanks 👏
Cristina Talavera Thankyou so much!!! I hope they come in handy and make styling a little easier ❤️❤️❤️
Wtf this is literally magic!!
Beautiful hair!!!!
Thankyou!!
You have such beautiful hair! Great. Video! Reminds me of curling my hair back in the 70s for that Farrah look. But I think the hair products enhance the volume and overall look which I never used back the
Just hot rollers and curling iron!😊
Laura Street Thankyou so much ! Hair products are a game changer!
woah so attractive ! Thank you for this videoooo!!!
Thankyou!! I’m glad you enjoyed it!!!
That looks so good..
Thankyou so much!
Hot rollers are so much easier & faster. . same results. Love this style
sweetboo1022 this only took me about 35 minutes:) but hot rollers are great too!
sweetboo1022 how long do you keep the hot rollers in?
Lola Cookie I used a 2 inch curling iron I kept the hair on the iron for a few second each section! Didn’t want it to be too curly I just wanted the ends to flip!
You are stunning , your hair is so thick & full . Any tips for those of us with fine hair ???
laura sanderson Thankyou!!! For fine hair I know volume can be difficult so using a dry shampoo at your root will give you extra lift and for your mids and ends use a texture spray! It will help separate the hair and give it more volume! Also blowdrying your roots with your head upside down will help also!
Would I still have to cut my hair into the feathering look?
Not necessarily! Texture is key so a texture spray can help give the same effect!
I don’t get it... I tried twice and my hair just falls straight when I take it out the pins and claws. Is it because I’m using a new curling iron? I even tried hair spray and setting the heat higher but my hair still ends up straight 😔 or is it because I have fine hair?
Josie before you use the iron use a texture spray! It will create more texture for the curl to hold and yes fine hair is less course meaning curls don’t hold as well but products can do wonders! Even using a dry shampoo on your ends will create texture also!
you have gorgeous hair
so cute!! thank you so much
hi omg I love this hair style and i wanna try it !! but idk how large of a barrel to use :^//
I used a 2 inch iron!
I’m so glad you like it!
Your hair is so beautiful and thick !!!!
chooseaname000 Thankyou!!! Yes it’s a few handfuls to take care of 😂❤️
Muy hermosa
I love it!
y'all hot rollers take the same amount of time, i've used both
it looks so good omg do you think it will work on shoulder length hair
Im sure it will look great!! It may not look exactly the same but i think it would look so cute on shoulder length hair too!
Goodness reading some of these comments make me cringe, what part of MODERN do people not understand? Lol anyways I'm going to definitely try this when my hair is a few inches longer. Thank you!
Hahaha! Yes I know 😂 Thankyou! Please let me know how it turns out when you try it!❤️
You know people on the internet is crazy
Love this 💕
Much love to you!!💓
@@breighagauvin4848 can you do more hair vids and 1 on urs, xoxo
Lauren Saunter sure! You have any hairstyles you’d like to see?? And you want me do do a video talking about my own hair??
It looks good, but reminds me of 1940s actresses more than Farrah Fawcett
thegreenmanofnorwich whatever you wanna call it I’m just glad you liked it
He is right haha but that is still -- a good thing. I had the Fawcett cut too. The difference between the two eras is the Fawcett/70s hair the pieces were more angled from top to bottom. The 1940s style had a gap from the bang area to the sides. Honestly, new styles are a re-imagining of an earlier period. World War I saw the most hair invention when women cut their locks totally off.
What hair cut is that..? I wanna tell my hairdresser!
Fatima Zulfiqar a long layered cut with face framing angles! Show her the finished result in the video so she has a good idea of the style and shaping you’re going for! I always recommend bringing in an inpso picture because visuals give your hairdresser an exact idea of what you want:)
thanks..love your hair and you for such a quick response ❤️
Fatima Zulfiqar Thankyou so much!! I hope you love your new cut!!!❤️
awesome
Maravilhoso 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
you are soooo pretty
Thankyou babe!!
You’re eye candy and I like your voice
Thankyou!
We all wanted styles like Fawcett and Jaclyn Smith back then. Great to see the 1970s looks come back in vogue. Everyone got too focused on the 1980s there so we really need this break from the Cold War, big hair, and the Reagan era ugh
Angel 😇
I’m a guy growing out my hair mainly just to do this hairstyle lol
mariofan010 THAT IS AMAZING!!!!
Well by checking out the Hairstyle of Farrah FAWETT look ya like I say it's ya beautiful style tho?
Hi 😊
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
You have hair like me - a bunted of it.
😊
Looks Fantastic.
But it has nothing to do with Farrah Faucett Dear. Not even a modern version . You need to have a real Farrah haircut and then You can twist any version of that...
Although looks lovely and very 1970's
Danielle Lorenz Thankyou! Farrah had a long layered cut with short wispy bangs and angles to frame her face in order to flip them out. Her most popular poster with the iconic hair was actually in 1976! Modernizing is conforming a past style to be something new inspired by something old! not meant to be exactly the same:) Everyone is entitled to their opinion but Thankyou very much for the compliment ❤️
First of all: you don't have the shaggy cut. So, it is bad but it is not the same thing.
Mari Ángeles Suárez first of all if you read any of the other comments this look is inspired by Farrah and not meant to replicate her hair. So the shag cut isn’t necessary and neither is this comment lol. But I hope you learned some hair tips today:) thanks for watching!
First step have thick hair...
I just waisted 14 minutes of my life i forgot i dont have long hair anymore 😔
bts for life did you atleast like the hair style?🥺 and you could use this tool and products to style it if you ever wanted to style it while it grows out! I love short hair too❤️
@@breighagauvin4848 the problem is me ill wait a couple more months to do the hairstyle 😭
You look a little like Bebe Rexha
Why?
You look like Gaga!
Smuk
Thankyou!
