      Thank you! I tried really hard to let her not worry about me, I tried to get off when I was on her back but then she sat down. And then I just waited.
      And yes we are both ok just a little scared. Later that day she went back out and terrorized the pasture like normal lol

    i normally don't comment but i felt like commenting
    most of the time people don't have enough time to think about what they're doing when something like this happens, which is alright and normal. but oh my goodness, you grabbed the horse's neck, didn't yank the reins, adjusted your seat, and did the smoothest dismount afterwards.
    11/10 amazing

      She’s such a good girl! She tried her hardest but I didn’t tell her correctly that it was a bounce, and that jump was pretty big for a bounce! And it didn’t help that it was spread out too far. And I leaned…so basically I did everything wrong 😂

      I agree! I wish I would’ve said something about it. I was kind of nervous about it myself, and riding a horse that has struggled with confidence in the past, I don’t think that is a great idea.
      Also it was supposed to be a bounce which is even more crazy! My 2nd trainer went too far that day 😕

    You handled that very nicely!! I love how you immediately went to your horse after that happened. Resently i have been struggling with stuff like that and its really hard. The reason im struggling with this is because im not looking forward, im looking down at the jump. I don't know if it was the same for you, but you handled that very nicely. Im so glad you and your horse are ok!! ❤️

      @IRL-pony  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      My 2nd trainer tried to get me and pony to do that as a bounce, and it was too far apart to be a bounce and too big. And after I fell I noticed she was holding one of her feet up so I checked for any scratches or anything like that, and I just hugged her and told her thank you for trying her best.

      Thank you!! I was very suspicious of the exercise, and she actually refused the first jump before this, I should’ve listened to her. I usually do! But I knew she can jump that oxer at a walk.
      I had a bit of a meltdown on the way home because I knew it was my fault it happened, now, 3 months later, she still has a thing for oxers, but she still jumps them.
      We actually had a HUGE breakthrough moment a few weeks ago, we jumped a 3 foot oxer and the front bar was 2’9. I cried after that.

    • @IRL-pony
      @IRL-pony  5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Yes she’s the best!
      And I’m flattered you are asking me for tips!
      Tips for stable lower leg is make sure your toes aren’t pointing outwards, you want them to always stay pointing forwards.
      Next is basic things like look up shoulders back, and soft movements, you don’t want to be smacking down when you’re posting or jumping.
      Thinking about your leg is a really basic but is always over looked, you should always be focused on what you’re doing with your leg! Maybe you’re asking the horse to go but don’t realize? If you start at such a beginner level thinking about what you’re doing with your legs and being able to control them, then you are well on your way to being a great rider!
