Definitely not going to win any races with this buggy, but gas mileage is pretty good for the size of the vehicle. I just caught a good deal on a 2020 demo model last week to drive for a contract I'm working this summer that's 120 miles each way. Our Bolt is too small to hold all the tools and it's just far enough I get a bit of range anxiety. Our Super duty costs more in diesel than the payment on the Equinox. This guy is the sweet spot. My initial thoughts I'd say it's a nice well rounded SUV for the price point.

I rented this last year when I was visiting New Orleans. It didn’t feel this slow. Look like your car is at really high elevation with those mountains in the background which would be why it’s slower.

It was a HUGE mistake by GMC getting rid of the 2.0L engine. Considering you have other car manufacturers which are providing 2 or more engine choices. I figure if Nissan can take a gamble with the Rogue and put a 3cyl turbo and squeeze 200hp & 225lbs torque out of it. What's GMC's excuse for not keeping the 2.0...? They went from segment leaders with that 252hp & 260lbs torque. To currently WAY BELOW the segment. So either bring it back GMC or up the 1.5L too more respectable numbers. And by that i don't mean adding 5hp for 2023 models. It needs at least 190hp & 220lbs torque. That's not too much to ask for now is it...?

I have a 2018 awd and am using a BNR drivability tune to improve low to mid response and its way better than stock. I also have a max output tune (220 hp 250 tq) but I don't run it for fear of breaking things even though that's within spec for the 6t40. I also run NAPA adaptive one high friction rotors and pads for increased stopping power.

I agree, i literally test drove a 1.5T equinox yesterday and dude...its SLOW. i have a 2.0 liter malibu so maybe im spoiled but man i had to almost floor it to pass anyone or get it going. very disappointing. i contacted a company called trifecta which says they can give it another 30 horsepower and 25 lb feet of torque, plus change the shifting patterns which will help a lot. so if i buy this ill definitely be contacting them

She had to get rid of it after 65k miles... just after the warranty expired, the transmission was trashed and it had intermitting electrical issues. Chevy has been a junk company for the last 25 years. They took billions in bail out money (our taxes) and built assembly plants in Canada and use parts made in China. Chevy can go fuk itself.

Hell yea all that stress on a tiny ass engine in a heavy weight vehicle is just asking for hella problems behind hella problems in a short amount of time. That's really the reason why most of the little turbo chevys drop in value hell even the V6's have relatively short life spans. Toyota all the way for reliability these chevys are mechanical nightmares and massive money pits.

I can’t believe how lazy the trans is. The CVTs in the Rogues and CR-V’s are far more responsible than this.
