Yes absolutely a wonderful question. I think you can love some one but not love the different choices thy ether have made or do make because we know ware the choices will lead.
To keep the first great commandment actually helps us us to keep the second one much better, than just keeping the second one without putting God into the equation. I love how he talks about how if we love God first, we can not only see his commandments with an eternal view, but we can achieve the vital balance needed to bless mankind. The first commandment helps prevent "smothering those around us with virtue," while neglecting to show needed compassion for others.
President Ezra Taft Benson taught, “Life’s priorities fall in place for those that put God first” The order of our priorities fall into place. Elder Christophersen’s statement that “There’s a strong connection between God’s love and his laws”….”Our love of God elevates our ability to love others!” is so true! That is why Jesus said,”If you love me, keep my commandments”
I would that each of us can reap the unfathomable reward of their personal relationship with God. Institutions only point us to that ultimate state of peace, happiness, and fulfillment and must never replace or overshadow our one on one with God.
And how do we love God and his Son, Jesus? John 14:15 Jesus says, If ye love me, keep my commandments. So many in this world lack the knowledge of what the love of God is.

I felt and thought isso reassuring for me to know that Abraham simple obeyed before anyone said he lied to save his life and Sarah. When God gives a commandment to do the right thing is to prosper if Jesus commandment me to say that I Am I would do it. It wouldn't be a problem if they later found out who I was because I was just following the Lord's orders And I testiy that Jesus Christ direct His Church direct this Work His Work to bring immortality and eternal life to men. Giving way to love for forgiveness fulfilling the scriptures of the prophets' diseres : let us be like him because we will see him as he is and may we be (purified) as he is
