    As well as the moisture trap on your compressor, add an inline one too - that should help with the water. I add my inline one straight after the quick connector on the hose

    I’ve been burned by white spirits eating the acrylic paint before, so I ALWAYS varnish before adding grime or an oil wash.

    • @SlayerMiniatures
      @SlayerMiniatures  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah that's exactly why I do it. I think it's not necessary if you leave it to dry for like 2 days before starting the grime stage...but not worth risking it

    That's so effective! I was wondering about the streaking grime and if you can do a watered down paint on initially. Then you wouldn't have to take off as much in the first removal stage? It's probably hard to see the effect of this on a video though?

    • @SlayerMiniatures
      @SlayerMiniatures  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah some people do that and use it as a wash in the recesses. I use it all over as it stains the paint underneath too. And you can see how much you want to remove and leave behind.

You might be able to see in the video mine is quite pale when you initially apply it and I keep applying it until it's a richer colour. I use the airbrush to dry the first layer with just air. Did you varnish before applying it? It sounds like you either have the wrong one (there are a few different ones) or it's reactivated your yellow layer and maybe mixed in with it?
      I'm not sure why it's turned out green! Hope that helps

      @@SlayerMiniatures Maybe I misunderstood what you said in the video. You mentioned that the Imperial Fists get a new codex every year but the transfer sheets don’t come with their decals.
      This could definitely just be a new thing, and sorry if it is, but all of the box sets of Marines I’ve gotten so far have had the needed Imperial Fists decals. Then again, I’m new to this, so I don’t know if this is a new change or not.
