Thank you for raising awareness! These videos are incredibly educational and should be shared with governments in earthquake-prone regions so that citizens can learn what to expect during an earthquake. Major earthquakes can be infrequent and, in some cases, occur only once in a generation, making it crucial to educate those who have never experienced one. Understanding what to expect empowers people to know how to react effectively.
Thank you so much for your positive feedback! That is exactly my goal! I’ll be in California for the next 3 months and I’ll be collaborating with several organizations to raise awareness☺️
What an immense amount of research to produce these videos. I know you are the right guy for this level of intense research and creating. Wonderful to get to catch this one when it was uploaded!

Why does the Magnitude 8 initially seem "not as bad" as the 7.5? It sort of feels like at that level, it's like the entire planet is rocking side to side, and the motions are so broad and powerful that it almost gives some kind of stability over the smaller jumbling. I'm totally untrained, but that's just what it looked like to my eye. Would be really interesting to hear an expert explain.
That’s a really insightful observation! In a way, you’re correct. Larger earthquakes, like a magnitude 8, do tend to produce longer, slower waves compared to a 7.5. This creates that broad, rocking motion you described, which can feel somewhat “stable” or less chaotic, even though it’s much more powerful overall. Also, the fault rupture length is so long that it takes more time for the strong waves to reach a particular location.😊 Smaller but still strong earthquakes, like a 7.5, often produce higher-frequency shaking that feels more jarring and sudden. This is due to the way seismic energy is released and how waves interact with the Earth’s structure. Interestingly, people sometimes report that the intense jolt from smaller magnitudes feels worse initially, while the longer-duration shaking from higher magnitudes can cause more cumulative damage over time.
Thanks for showing the ground movements of the M 9.1 Great East Japan Earthquake! Great work with the other simulations btw!

The best part was matching 1000 different sounds to my simulation…manually. :)
I have the BEST help I can get in the world from a scientist and engineer❤
Wow, you've improved! Now it looks extremely realistic
@@drugiekontoblaxa thank you so much! This will only get better!!
@@EarthquakeSim great, I'm very happy
I can't believe I missed the premiere😢😅
❤I forgive you! I’ll be going live again these days

yeah same here
Being interested in watching this brings you one step closer to actually becoming a scientist ❤️
Amazing video ❤
Thank you for watching😊
realy good👋🎉
Thank you so much for watching friend!
Nice
Thank you😊

That last one won fall off the earth center of balance, a smidge, making the day slightly longer, or shorter
I also have a video in the makings
That is absolutely correct :)

I think i'd make it 😎
Have you heard about the earthquake bed? 😊
