Can you use the cutting stones in place of tiles in a house?

Why not, you can do anything you want. They question should be whether it's a good idea.
I've see granite floor tiles but that's a who different level. They are cut straight and flat from factory

Yes, it does, plus it protects the wall but if you don't get a very 😊good contractor, the stones will start peeling off after a year.
