I like how little it takes to make a difference, and how far it can go but stays natural. Would be interested in seeing more in-depth sessions messing around with Q. Great review though! Exciting new brand and new product!!!
Wow Dave what a demo. I am the same I don’t have anything like this in my eq arsenal. I love it’s so transparent. Looks like I am going to have to get one of these. I know any time I have to much money in my bank account I just have to watch one of Dave’s reviews and my account takes another beating.. If it’s good enough for Dave, hey I got to take a look see. Thanks for posting. I want one of these…I sent a message to Z&H Designs and did mention your name Dave that is where I first heard a demo of there 250 and told them I want one.
@@MixingMusicAnalog I am buying my Trident 88-24 at the end of September. It will take a few weeks for them to build it and ship it to me. Once I get up and running I will join. I work Friday through to Monday on a new part time job. What are your course hours.
Seems very promising. Interestingly, the company has said this is more G** inspired than S*ntec, if that makes sense. The 5 overlapping bands and frequency selection speaks to that. As far as the utility of a transparent EQ, I think you may surprise yourself how often you reach for one. Not sure if you do mastering, but such an EQ is basically the equivalent of a scapel to a surgeon, its ubiquitous and usually paired with another colorful broad strokes EQ. Its surprisingly useful on vocals too. Thanks for the demo!
Nice video. Major issue is it is not stepped and will be a nightmare for recall and for dialing it in. it appears you cannot link the channels. 30 knobs to keep track of. I say no go for a busy studio. To me the device should only be stepped never continuous. Other than that, great box. Oh and lettering is too small. Sorry to be negative about those issues because I like to see good gear. It is my opinion and I am sure others will think differently and that is perfectly fine.
Is all your gear in your studio "stepped"? If you really need stepped, you can get it as I mentioned in the video. It's always easy to just point out the negative. Recall? Dont worry about that. Be a better engineer and you wont need to recall as much....LOL

There's a lot I can infer from the song you used, very relevant to my genre, and shows the power of this EQ well!!!
Thank you for watching

On the drum bus yes 👍🏽 mix bus was very smooth. Definitely one to get. Thanks Dave
YOu got it
Impressive, I would have gone straight to the classic Sontec shelf on both ends 🤔, but it was good enough even though you only did bells.
When you get your unit, do a video and show the the different eQ shelfs!

I wonder how much more stepped controls would be
Need to contact the company for that answer
