I cooked many briskets on a Kamado Joe. We all thought the Kamado Joe briskets were awesome, but I was looking to up my game. Once I made the decision to purchase an offset smoker, the research began. I looked at many smokers built from all parts of Texas, Georgia, North Carolina, etc. I finally settled on a KIose smoker for many reasons. We purchased a 20" x 48" Klose pipe smoker in April of this year. I did have a few add-ons with the purchase. It took them about 6 weeks or so to build it than finish it out as I wanted. David himself delivered to our home. The smoker was pushing 1100 lbs, and his truck was rigged out to the max. The stainless ash tray is a must as well as the 1/2" fire box. This smoker is a game changer and one that will last for a very long time...... No I'm not paid by David, I'm just simply telling you first hand experience. Simply stated, this is hands down one of (if not the best) the best offset smokers made.

That’s how my klose 36” backyard smoker is setup 1/4” main chamber w/the 1/2” firebox upgrade it is definitely a must in my opinion, as Dave said saves on fuel big time !

Why you opting for the smoke stack exit at the back as opposed to the side thanks
