It truly is one of the saddest feelings of all time. I’m a MG owner myself. Knowing my car was built here is really amazing. I’m local myself, just in Walsall in fact, would love to visit the factory myself
That factory was demolished a long time before this video was posted. The Longbridge plant (recorded in this video) has been demolished for awhile now, I went to visit it early this year to find it had been flattened, but I know that all of the cars in this video were being stored in the remains of this plant, they weren’t built there nor were they being left there, the still functioning MG plant is literally next door to the remains of where these cars were being stored, and all of these cars have been sold by now.
I work in Longbridge! This is a storage warehouse on site for cars shipped in from China. It isn't abandoned at all. Just unused. The offices opposite are still manned as are other buildings on site.
That is a very large factory and the cars looks new because it isn't abandoned. Just the side that they are trespassing on. It is used for storage now.
Young Professional They still work there and these bits are used for storage but the bits like the canteen with the fat and stuff are not used because they have a new one in the main office
I did some service contract work here many years ago when it was fully open. Shame to see it like this but the place was ran bad. I remember even tho it was fully open and still making cars there were many cars just dotted all around the place. Mainly left out side tucked into unused spaces. They were not on the final production line waiting to be shipped. Im not sure if there was anything wrong with them but they looked alright. They were always unlocked with the keys in them.
They leave it all abandoned even those good looking cars that could be sold. I amazed to see brand new cars just left abandoned. They will rust away in time. Thanks for sharing.
I am pretty sure is just unsold inventory. I mean, it is better to have them inside than out and they will send them to dealerships as soon as they ask for them.
It's not a factory anymore, they just put together Chinese parts kits on the site of the former factory. Clearly this used to be an actual working part of Longbridge back in the day, and they now just use it for storage, since slapping parts kits together doesn't need as much space.
4:53 & 6:00 There was some odd things here that raise red flags, 4:53 in a abandoned building why is their new construction/remodeling. 6:00 why was there new concrete poured down a stairway, closing it off, it was new concrete & the handrails disappeared into the concrete?? Something is not right at that location, lets not forget all those cars, tires & engines!!!! RED FLAGS
I could be wrong, but i think this plant built rover and mg up until 2005 when the Chinese company Ningjang bought it, and of course the Chinese love to leave stuff to rot. But again, i could be wrong
Rusty Nail if you did a bit of research, you would know why each country drives on it’s respective side of the road, and also be aware that makes people who drive a left hand drive vehicle to be the descendants of serfs.

They used to assemble partly built Chinese mgs in cab1 and use cab2 to store the finished vehicles before dispatch. Now they use cab1 to store fully imported mg 3 and mg gs and are demolishing cab2 now
It's not abandoned. They're just stored there. I live next to this factory and the Chinese had money from our Government to build cars there. As you can see, they don't. you never see a lorry go in or out. We bailed the banks out but let this go. It decimated the whole area.

I've been informed those new vehicles are being stored 'temporally' on that site as MG still own the place. the production side of the plant hasn't been running for over 10 years and those cars where made later than that.
Christopher Fraser I’ve never risked it with any stranger’s car, but I have a few friends that lost their keys or the ignition lock broke. I have also bypassed the chip on my car once just to see if it could be done. It was an older car, a 1997 Opel Omega and it was surprisingly easy to do with basic knowledge of what the gas pump relay was and its pinout. With newer cars it’s not that easy, I’m sure.
a normal person realises that if you take a vehicle is stealing.... its still owned by either the maker or factory and the cars will eventually be moved to another location, even if the factory has been shut down and theres no one in the buildning doesnt mean it is abanadoned.. these people probably saw the few last stages of the factory being completely shut down since theres still power and theres stuff left to be collected by whoever is emptying it
I really hope the new ‘MG’ go bust. Nothing about the new so called MG has any Britishness or MGness in it. You can tell they are Chinese cars with a poor MG badge stuck on it. The Chinese company has ruined MG in my eyes sadly. The new ones are awful and then ‘MG’ decide they will back out of the country that started it. I really hope someone saves MG before it gets fully ruined to be an Chinese car company.
Doubt there abandoned. the company probably is just storing them there. Companies don’t just leave cars to rot. that’s €200k+ of cars, trust me they’ll be at a dealership soon.
Joshua Metcalfe You do realise that the new MG’s sell so fast that at one point the next nine boats of ZS’ and GS’ had been sold before they had even been shipped
I understand with urban exploration that you just leave footprints, but there’s a ton of inventory there to consider scavenging. Vehicles may be a “no go” since you would need bill of sale to register, but wheels, and engines.

breaking and entering? Is this Longbridge? went there around 2 months ago, the plant is still active and these cars are not abandoned, they are in store in disused parts of the old factory
It has to be longbridge, those cars look like they are the Chinese made MGs. See what happens when you sell something to china, they take whats good and leave the crap.
Alastair Ward The Chinese bought the MG name and what was left of the factory’s but the cars they then made under the MG name were not much cop, cheap but low build quality They didn’t sell very well and I guess this is the remains of them pulling out? Is crazy to see those cars just sitting there, engines, wheels and tyres too 😳
This is obviously the MG assembly plant in Longbridge that has stopped its operation in 2016 when SAIC Motors moved the production back to China. It was too costly to run this assembly for RHD vehicles only. Now they import fully finished cars from China to sell them in UK where a few car buyers seem to like the MG brand. The Longbridge plant has been a big loss for SAIC; investments totaled in £450 million but just about 3,000 cars were produced and sold over the years. In this video we see remains of assembled MG3 models. Assembly of the MG6 model was already stopped in 2012 after only 280 MG6 could get sold - in two years! At this time SAIC is considering to start a LHD assembly in Romania to go for the more attractive EU market but unclear if this shitboxes will ever make it to the showroom.
AnantaSesaDas You do realise that they’re probably telling the truth but you wouldn’t believe me if I said that my dad works for mg but he does and you can find him online
All the people in this comment section saying how sad it is for all of them cars to be abandoned and go to waste, when in reality the factory is NOT abandoned at all. It's just closed for renovations.
Its not a car factory, it's where they test cars by cashing them, all those cars there are just props. They are worth nothing. Look at the test hook line on the floor at 0:29

breaking and entering? Is this Longbridge? went there around 2 months ago, the plant is still active and these cars are not abandoned, they are in store in disused parts of the old factory
6:40 nice, you opened the tap and waste the water
Ive got one of those I might drive it back to the factory and leave it there, that deep fat fryer has more power
What car is that?
@@Lucas-ck1po MG 3. It's a Chinese brand now.
It has to be longbridge, those cars look like they are the Chinese made MGs. See what happens when you sell something to china, they take whats good and leave the crap.
It is long ridge sad too see what’s left of the British car industry
One Life Vlogs. Too many great cars came from England, its even sadder to see the MG being built by the Chinese
THOSE ARE RENAULTS !!!!!
Carolicious Channel no, Chinese MGs.
Alastair Ward
The Chinese bought the MG name and what was left of the factory’s but the cars they then made under the MG name were not much cop, cheap but low build quality
They didn’t sell very well and I guess this is the remains of them pulling out?
Is crazy to see those cars just sitting there, engines, wheels and tyres too 😳
Amazing find on all those 🚘😊👍
This is obviously the MG assembly plant in Longbridge that has stopped its operation in 2016 when SAIC Motors moved the production back to China.
1:36 you should’ve got some relay equipment and nicked that mg gs 😂
It's not abandoned i live up the road
Sure
AnantaSesaDas You do realise that they’re probably telling the truth but you wouldn’t believe me if I said that my dad works for mg but he does and you can find him online
All the people in this comment section saying how sad it is for all of them cars to be abandoned and go to waste, when in reality the factory is NOT abandoned at all. It's just closed for renovations.
Its not a car factory, it's where they test cars by cashing them, all those cars there are just props. They are worth nothing. Look at the test hook line on the floor at 0:29
It was formerly a factory. That's not for crash testing.
You right, i said the same
Gives me an idea to start deporting those cars back to China
Gives me an idea that these cars should be deported back to China.
if there is electricity and water is not abandoned, it has basic services, this will break into private property.
Wtf those are brand new cars!!
