Great review, DT Crew! One small nitpick, the rules state that you play two cards on your turn, not 1. (you play 2 of the three cards in your hand) It speeds the game up and makes it easier to manipulate your wizards into a position to "slam dunk" your wizard. You can also forego both actions to draw a new hand and move a tower 1 space.
This game is so fun and definitely challenging when you play with multiple players. Trying to remember where a meeple is after much movement of the tower!! Very enjoyable.
A great review i can definitely agree with, our game group love it as a fun end of night game or my family, all generations and non gamers have real fun with it.
I wish I liked this more, but we got into an end game where all wizards were dunked but we had spells to fill, but there were no wizards to earn spells with. It felt really off to have a pubished game, from Kramer no less, where we couldn't legally finish the game. I'd love to know if we did something wrong, but it didn't seem like we did. It soured my score pretty heavily.
I went to read the rulebook right after this review just to see if that exact scenario was discussed and it straight up isn't addressed. It's super weird there is no official resolution to an easily achievable gamestate.
I think that is part of the game, making sure you don't put your wizards in too early, you have to make sure your potions are all filled! It makes it more strategic, and sometimes frustrating haha! A race to get your potions AND your wizards in
For those thinking about getting this for solo , I wouldn’t it is pretty terrible. Instead of going with playing against some sort of AI that replicates going against a human player , they went in another direction , a terrible direction.
This was a hit at my table and a brilliant family game. A little strategy, some luck, a smidgen of chaos and whole lot of players straining their brains trying to remember where their damn meeples are. Fun and highly recommended.

I’ve only played this once, with a group after a big team Concordia game, and we all really enjoyed it. Highly recommend.

This was a high up on my GenCon list and it didn't disappoint! Great silly fun.

Wendy is tough on games. Usually scores games lower than the others who are part of the review. Joey is the opposite. Lots of high scores.
Except when Wendy is the only one who gives a seal of approval on the game and everyone else is.a 5.
No way. I can think of at least 3 reviews where Wendy is way above everyone else. People just have different tastes
