Thanks for the fixes. My saw arrives tomorrow from Lowes and now I can fix 2 problems before they become problems and for an old Marine less problems equal happy wife and happy life.

A couple things here will make this an even better fix. Kudos Timothy....not bashing your video just adding what works for me. First off use all of the things Tom shows on the first fix but I would add a small amount of silicone to the threads of the bolt. It absorbs vibration. Second I would replace the nut on the swing arm with a nylon locking nut. Wont come off again

Thank you for your tips. I don't use my scroll saw often so when it started but the blade didn't move, I didn't have a clue. Then I saw your tip and I cancelled the new one I ordered and fixed my gmc scroll saw.

Thanks so much for this video. I'm getting ready to buy one of these saws so this will save me some trouble later.

Thanks how about doing one threading the pinless in 1/16 in hole for letter scrolling. I feel like all thumbs when try to keep tension on both ends and have the blade through your work piece.

Thank you for this very informative video. I’m stuck not knowing what to do about my Wen 3921. The second problem you describe is similar, but the screw on the motor end keeps coming loose, not the one in the arm (same assembly but opposite end coming loose). If it’s too tight, it won’t allow the arm to move, but it keeps rattling and vibrating and coming out with every cut. New blade, 90” on table, tension has right ping sound. I’m at a loss and can’t seem to find anyone else on the internet having this issue. Do you have any experience with this or any advice? Thank you!

Hi Timothy, do you think it's possible for the upper arm inside the housing to slowly bend to one side over time? Had this saw for 4 years and suddenly it's skipping as it's cutting. It seems like the upper arm is off a little bit I don't understand how this could happen overnight. Already addressed the first problem you talked about on this video and no issues there. Don't know how to send you a picture. In the middle of a huge project and wen is not open until tomorrow.

I was wondering if you have any idea on why the retention knob would get stuck in an upright position? I was changing blades and somethings happened, but I don't know what...

Why would you need a pivotable table. just curious. New to this, and haven't even set up my machine yet....

Hey I got the WEN 3920, I’m having issues with the tension part. When I turn to tighten it’s not tightening, do you know of a solution?

Raise the handle first then spin then lower it again

Hi on the repair on the swing arm underneath that you did , the other screw has come out on mine , I've tried replacing it but it seems to undo by itself all the time, does yours have a locking washer holding in it as mine just seems to screw into black thing that rotates , I don't what's missing altogether I put new bearing in. Thanks for any help.

Did you ever figure this out? Mine came loose on the bottom as well and I tightened it back in to the thing that rotates and noticed a bearing on the floor of the saw. It didn't seem like there was enough room on the screw for it to fit in to the bearing and then the thing that rotates so I left it off but not sure if this will create a problem.

Is this the one you are asking about?
      Parts to fix Problem #2
      1) Socket Cap Screw M5 - 8 x 25mm
      2) Spacer
      3) Loctite
      4) Nut M5

Timothy, red Loctite would also solve the problem of the loose bolt under the table + the swing arm. Every shop should have a tiny vial of it. There are blue and green Loctite's, but the red is the one for this application.

Red is fine... if you never need to take it apart for repair. Use Blue.

Hi. I have a problem with my wen scroll saw. How can I fix the Flexible Led Assembly. I am from Mexico and the Wen company does not send replacement parts to Mexico so I must repair it myself.

I am also in Mexico and also have the light gone out. Did you repair your light and if so, what did you end up doing?

Thank you. Very helpful. Otherwise are you happy with the performance of the WEN scroll saw over time? Sounds like an okay investment for the dollar.

Yes. This is the saw to go with in the $100ish range. I have kids running them several hours a day for years on end. I've got saws that are 7 yrs old that are still going strong.

Just thought of something else - does this accept both PIN and PINLESS blades? How about spiral blades? Thank in advance.

Hey there. very helpful vid! but I have a different problem with my 3921 I wonder if you or anyone here has seen: the tension knob/lever is basically flopping around & won't hold position, causing the blade to randomly lose tension during use. I CAN tighten/loosen it to start, but it just won't stay that way while cutting. super frustrating & googling around hasn't found answers. I've only had the saw for a month so I'm hoping it's something I can fix... Thanks much if you have any advice.

Same issues here. Some times the tension might stay in place. Mine dose the same as yours. Been looking to resolve this issue also. If you find how to fix it email me at Bwolfwhlittlefox@aol.com.

I had the pin for the arm kept coming out. Ended up just removing it and replaced with a cotter pin.

Spring lockwashers are useless for this kind of vibration. Use a nylon locknut and get rid of the spring lockwasher.

I'd put a nylock nut on that table tilt bolt.
