Riverside Camping & Summer Burbot Fishing

- With summer in full swing we put the boat in the water and take it out for the first trip of the season. Fishing for Burbot in silty waters and camping under the midnight sun along the river made for a fun vacation from the cabin.

Wanna talk heatwave! It's been in the 90s here in the day and 70s and 80s at night! Thank goodness this heatwave ends after tomorrow! The days will go back down to the 80s and the nights will go back to the 60s. Can't wait!

I have followed you for a long time now.. and live in California close to Folsom.. but just got home from spending two nights in Half Moon Bay, then Santa Cruz and then the Monterey Bay Aquarium with my mom daughters.. who are your age and grandkids. Came home to watch your latest video and even though I love them all this one was peaceful and a nice way to wind down 🤗 thank you for the great joy.. ❤☮️

Well the fish gods were not generous but one was better than nothing. Bandit was a splashing fool and so much fun to watch. It was a beautiful area to camp in guys and it made a great video. Thanks for taking us with you. Hugs from Southern California. ❤️

I'm happy to see that my wife and I are not the only ones who use mason jars for cups. One of my favorite cups to use
My husband and I used to fish with pickerel rigs on the North Saskatchewan River just north west of Saskatoon SK. We caught gold eye, walleye, sauger, saugeye (a mix of walleye and sauger), suckers, and small sturgeon. Since we had to have a special license for the sturgeon we always threw them back. We'd also throw back the suckers because they're not very good tasting and the gold eye because my husband only liked them smoked and we didn't have a smoker. It was a great and relaxing way to spend the day.
It was so great to see you guys having some fun, playing and relaxing, especially Bandit! I bet he just had the time of his life, playing and splashing and digging and swimming!!

In the Midwest it works to swab your bait in Romano zambuca, a black licorice liquor. You might want to try it. I dip worms and minnows in it on the advice of a local legend, it really works..

That is quite the vast land where you live, never kniwing what may come your way. From my view the water looked murky. The water actually was suspicious looking to ne. There were no gulls overhead which snacked of empty water, no fish, and it didn't look like your dog was too keen about the shoreline. It almost appeared like puppy was digging to China lol. You guys always amaze me by how you seek and find and naturally adjust to whatever nature hands you. Take care and I look toward more upcoming sagas.❤

Another awesome adventure! Now, I'm sure that you have gotten some of this advice already but I will throw my 2 cents in hoping to see more success from you two as I really like when you guys are excited when catching fish as that is also my passion.
On rivers with strong currents try and actually avoid the strongest current areas...Fish, like us are lazy and want an easy meal. It may sound counterintuitive but sometimes closer to shore is the best place on rivers. It sometimes amazes how close to shore the fish will be. For example, Sockeye, they almost always are close to shore. Other fish are the same. A good spot is often where the slow current meets the fast.

Feels like it was just a minute and you were battling the snow, it is always so pleasurable just watching the footage of nature stuff, you capture and edit beautifully. It's interesting how we acclimate to the local climate. I travelled in South Asia for a while and pulled out my Canadian sleeping bag when it got to a chilly 25C at night lol
