U have NO idea how much this just helped motivate me. I been stuck at a spa making $300-1000/week for years and just didn’t have the courage to step out on my own. This type of stuff is great. 🙏🏽
I’m currently studying sports massage, I’m a Personal Trainer. My clients always book a massage so I saw a gap in the market and want to start mobile PT and Mobile Sports massage and leave the long hrs at the gym. Tuned in from the Middle East
I’m a solo practitioner and although it’s great to make 1000$ in a day from a package that means that unless you save back that amount you’ll be working multiple days without pay (on those days) because it’s prepaid. So for packages you absolutely have to have a good budgeting technique and making sure to manage your money well.
Hey I’m from Seattle Washington . I have been a Licensed Massage Therapist for 12 years now. Inspiring entrepreneur. Currently doing homework and looking for mentors and other local entrepreneurs /therapist.
That's great!! 🙌🏾 I have a question tho. For your expertise that long, do you experience any pain in your hands and arms? I'm looking into getting into this but a little nervous about not being able to perform a massage for a long particular time. Thank you
@@Loveismylanguage3 I’ve been working full time as a massage therapist for 15 years so I can give you my perspective on this if you like… If you’re thinking of getting into this career you really need to love it and be able to put your full effort into healing others as well as endurance in pushing through the rough times. My first two years as a therapist I was very physically weak and struggled massively to give enough pressure. I pushed through and learned proper techniques to maximize body mechanics and leverage in order to be effective. Even after getting over that physical hurdle, just the volume of bodies I worked on each week (20-30) was taking a toll on me. But the more I took care of myself (constantly stretching is massive!!) and the more used to the constant workload I got, the easier it became. I think of it like strength training. It hurts, but you get stronger and able to handle more. Regardless it’s important to take care of yourself and not get burnt out, so your body will tell you when enough is enough. Hope this helps!

Hi! Im a independent bodywork therapist and I’m currently in the process of adding a Nail tech license to it. Currently I’m in Vegas but from Cali. I want to work between both states.
This helped me sooooooooo much! Quick question, you said you went on a trip to costa rica with all these massage classes add ons (aromatherapy, hydro, etc) did you happen to go with the LMT success group? I was looking at their classes/package plans in regards to MLD but i don't know anyone that took their classes personally. I wanna go but im iffy about it lol 😅
I have been considering going to massage school for several years now, and just as I was getting closer to pull the trigger, and as my best friend went to school and is now completed his program and doing fairly well for himself. I actually ended up fracturing my proximal phalanx of my pinky finger and it healed with a malunion. I had to get several x-rays and CT scans and I feel like my hand has a lot more information and arthritis already setting in. However there is a part of me that thinks maybe Doing that massage therapy program could actually be better for my hand in someway. Because I am getting more exercise for it. I’ve always enjoyed learning about natural alternative remedies through herbalism as well as essential oils. I know they have different techniques where you can limit the use of your hands and also use other parts of your body like your elbows or even bamboo etc. i’m not sure I have such a good opportunity to go to school in Texas because it’s so close to where I’m at. Plus it’s a very affordable program. I just don’t know if I’m ready to commit to that yet. I would look at doing massage more like a side hustle part-time on the evenings and weekends around a full or part-time job at hopefully offers benefits
Wow Ayana, thanks so much for this. This is the second video I’ve watched from your channel. I really enjoy the quality of the information. I’m renewing my massage license and would eventually like to taper off working my remote job to working for myself through my own massage and body contouring business. Thank you for opening my eyes on being able to make this kind of money in a day, looks so much more attainable when you break it down like that. ❤️ Much love to you. God bless you more abundantly and keep doing what you’re doing!👏🏻💕

I've thought about doing Massage, but there are things I don't like about it. Number 1 being it's very destructive to your body. Highly repetitive movements = Short Life span of career. Most people in this career don't get very far due to the wear and tear it does to you, it is a sacrificial job. Take care of yourself as you may, you ARE going to take a hit no matter what. To me, the goal is to quickly get away from hand work by going to gua sha or cupping. Also learn about the half of helping people that massage doesn't do, strengthening.
