Thanks for this video. I've been looking at these and nobody has posted anything about it, so this is useful. Great looking tractor.

Trying to decide which tractor to buy does practically drive a person insane; I'm going through that stage myself right now. I've narrowed my search down to the Kioti CK3510HST and the Massey Ferguson 1736HST. Both of these tractors have suspension seats, I personally couldn't deal with that seat on the Yanmar. When you pay that much for a tractor they could certainly put a decent seat on it. From my personal research, the Kioti seems to be the best value, the best standard features for the money. Kioti tractors are made in South Korea by Dae Dong industries and they've been making high quality heavy construction equipment for over 100 years and have a reputation for quality. From what I've read, Dae Dong made the hydrostatic transmissions for Kubota for many years, but no longer do. The Kioti is all steel and cast steel: fenders, hood, side panels are steel and the differentials are cast steel as is the transmission. If you look at their weight they are a heavy tractor which is a good thing for a tractor under most circumstances. The Massey 1736 is a really loaded with features tractor but it's big, size wise, which could be a problem in tight areas, it also costs more than the Kioti! What troubles me with the Kioti is the possible resale value. Most people think the Kioti is an "off brand tractor" made in China" so they don't even consider a Kioti. Unlike China, South Korea, in recent years, has been making a lot of high quality merchandise, not crude by any means, and Dae Dong has been making high quality machines for over 100 years. The Massey Ferguson is a "brand name" so would likely have a better resale value! I'm about ready to just put some tractor names in a hat and pull one!

Yes, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. at the end of the day the minor differences probably will not matter between the difference brands, for me the decision came down to who was going to give me the best trade value because I knew the tractors I narrowed it down to would be fine.

yanmar does supply those base parts.. in fact.. John Deere 4100s were made by yanmar..in 2008 John Deere went off the deep end because Yanmar opened a plant here in the US. and refused to order anymore replacement parts from them..causing me a lot of problems.. so buy buy John Deere.. and hello Yanmar delivery at the end of the month

Been a couple years since this video, do you still have the yt235 and are you still happy with it? Any major repairs?

Nice vid. My dads looking at upgrading his JD 2520 to a JD 2038R. The 2520 has a yanmar engine, so I'm just researching if they make good tractors as well. His JD does have a mechanical cruise just like yours, but not sure about the new ones. You like the 3 speeds so far? We only have 2. We use low for everything around the house, and high when traversing to different mow areas. I'm curious if its a third gear, middle gear, or super low. Thanks.

Great video. The seat looks nice, was it already installed when you purchased or was that an upgrade?

Hey Jason, its been a couple years now. Did you ever upgrade the seat again? how's the tractor holding up?

Yes. I went to my local rural king and purchased a spring assist seat. Worlds better. Tractor is holding up nicely. I removed the deck. Vary rarely used it.

May I ask what your drive out cost was, just like to get an idea of how much I might spend.

I am curious...how has it been so far

Fine. It’s been through it’s first regen. Doesn’t really effect anything. Seat still sucks. The deck has taken a beating. The 3point hutch raises and lowers the deck and the casting is bent. I need to take it for warranty repair. Other than that it’s fine

The model I am getting is the 424..wonder if it has the same issues. and you're right...very few videos on these. I did find an awesome one from 2012..that had factory tracks on the back... that would be nice

Richard Elbe I have the 424 also. FEL and backhoe, mid mount mower, box blade, 60" bush hog, and pallet forks. Haven't had any issues and I've had it for 2 years. I was looking at the YT 235 also, but for only having 100 more pounds of Fel lift it was not worth it for me. That being said the 235 is most definatly a beefier tractor and rear implementation of would be better on this on as well. And it looks awesome! Would love the 359.

I just do not understand why you have put yt235 "mid mount mower," then talk about EVERYTHING except the mid-mount.... Even you old Ford tractor gets as much time at the Yanmar....
