The point is that you don't have to work on any story building, map building, questline, bosses, npcs, customization, you can basically skip all of that by making a baseplate with skills alone and getting money

I think the main problem is the devs trying to jump on the trend while its popular. Why make multiple characters and risk finishing by the time the hype dies down when you can just release one character and then make the rest while you get a decent playerbase?
On the defense of Z Battlegrounds, it just came out 2 weeks ago, and it already has duels. They’re focusing on necessities instead of graphics. If they make the needs now, the wants would be more focused on and polished. Plus, it’s more balanced and most of the combos are relatively easy to pull off.

Fruit Battlegrounds is really fun! It's just... really unbalanced and really gacha-focused. If you have a good fruit, it can be extremely entertaining, but if you don't have one, or don't have money, you're out of luck. I wish they'd fix this in some way like rework the older fruits or make it easier to get spins.
i think its really fun aswell, however the leveling is the bigger problem imo. the gacha stuff and unbalanced are intentional for money making, but the leveling doesnt make sense. takes too damn long.
Z battle grounds has improved a lot like having 2 maps 4 characters plus 1 early access a duel mode better affects, a settings button with tons of setting but it’s combat is only good when you can get the fist lunge on some one
Well me and my friends are planning to make a battlegrounds game that will surely have alot of things in it. Quests to get characters. Good map building. And good cutscenes. This will be our first official project and will hopefully come out later or sooner.

Just the thought that you can literally punch a dude that hard that he flies out into cosmos or punch them so they would fly into a wall and smash against it. And another reason is that aba and anime showdown require grinding your ass off for money to buy new character, when in battlegrounds you can just join and literally become saitama.
See, i feel like the reason why these games have gotten so popular is just for one reason. The games are no BS. The game is very pvp focused. You get in, and you play the game, and have fun. There's no bullshit, you get to have FUN from the start. You don't have to play something else that isn't the main concept.

techy if you havent notice an feature to z battle is on dragonic variants which has 2 variants of moves for example if you uppercut someone and use the dragonic variants it will send off the person to the sky and do a combo and for the ground move you simply do the dragonic variants and smth like that

When u force yourself to play with friends and stuff u find out you can kill marco, within a day of killing marco, you can prob get around 10k gems if not more, it all depends on ur play time (mostly the marco grind).

It would MASSIVELY BENEFIT from a cool new mechanic such as flight, and a combat system rework or atleast a polishing. The newer characters and even some of the older ones are getting re-polished, which is good. (ULTRA INSTINCT NEEDS TO BE RE-POLISHED OR REWORKED BADLY)

Also another big problem about fruits battlegrounds is the grind, grinding for your moves has to be one of the most boring things ever, a PvP game that 90% of the gameplay is afk grinding isnt a good pvp game
You can't say anything bad about sorcerer or z battlegrounds cuz those games started like a month ago... but yeah, these battleground games are super boring once you stay in their for about an hour, it only takes me around 20 minutes to get bored

The devs have to make money somehow, and you have to consider that the thing that separates a game like The Strongest Battlegrounds and Elemental Battlegrounds is the effects and smoothness, each character in a Anime Battleground game has beautiful animation with simple but clean effects, the ultimate bar is something you have to consider as well, who doesn’t love if even for a moment, becoming superior to every other player? The ultimate bar makes you stay in the game because you want to press it again, I’d say that the ultimate bars are really the trademark of the games as it keeps the player hooked as they love the flashy effects of the characters and powerful moves of the ultimate version
Im a developer and characters do not really take that long to make so idk why the updates are taking long on these games well its not long for scripting maybe its fx

Once you get your power up everyone runs away. Other than that you just spam Dash as much as possible. Saitama battlegrounds is the best one in my opinion. I played the dragon ball one and was so excited bc goku is literally my favorite character but the gameplay was just saitama battlegrounds with worse animation people running away when going ui got old and it’s controller support is trash unlike saitama battle grounds as well as hitbox got m1s. The combos suck in the dbz one and like u said ur just racing to get hi first witch sucks just like the combos.

they take years to update which makes no sense anyone can do those carbon copies of saitama battlegrounds imagine waiting a week for 1 new character that can be done in propably 2 days
I wasn’t even aware of the update times but for a game of this caliber ngl updates should be way more frequent compared to a game like anime showdown
i really like heroes battlegrounds more than saitama battlegrounds for the fact that i can do a 1v1 instead of a 4v1(btw this thing) i see them like a draw for me,they have few characthers,a not so big but not so small map,the characthers are enjoyable for the fact to the early acces thing i dont care about it,even rogue demon is the same fact as the 4v1 thing but a really apreciate the combat so i still play it

Once you get your power up everyone runs away. Other than that you just spam Dash as much as possible. Saitama battlegrounds is the best one in my opinion. I played the dragon ball one and was so excited bc goku is literally my favorite character but the gameplay was just saitama battlegrounds with worse animation people running away when going ui got old and it’s controller support is trash unlike saitama battle grounds as well as hitbox got m1s. The combos suck in the dbz one and like u said ur just racing to get hi first witch sucks just like the combos.

I mean it’s not like they’re making THAT much money off these games, early access is ~300 robux for most of these games and it is a ONE time purchase, so pretty much every game besides Rogue Demon and Saitama battlegrounds is less work less reward, and if you compare it to other games like GPO or Project slayers then we know what the REAL cashgrab is there *cough* $200 for a gamepass *cough*
