What a wonderful contrast from the string of American whiskeys. My wife straight away said this was smooth. The nose was surprisingly complex once it opened a bit, which took longer than many of the other whiskeys. We had some very nice Straus eggnog in the fridge, and considering that we can never decide what we prefer--- whiskey or rum-- we added a tiny splash of this to some of the Straus eggnog. Sacrilegious for such a wonderful sipping whiskey, but absolutely enjoyable this evening. We won't have a final tasting to revisit, as that went into the nog.
That's an amazing idea! I think it was well worth it, but in case you guys are looking for more - make sure to check flaviar.com. Wehave amazing offers on all Advent bottles exclusively in the time of the advent. Cheers! 🥃
I was just thinking how I wanted another Irish whiskey. My only complaint with the tastings thus far is I think there are too many bourbons, but maybe that's the target market. Anyway, I loved getting something different tonight. The color on this one is really light and reminded me of some scotches I've had, albeit not in flavor. The aging in used barrels doesn't impart as much color, or perhaps it's not aged very long. I would not have guess this was 100 proof. It's very light and citrusy. Lots of floral notes on the nose and very easy to sip. It is delicious.
Thank you for your feedback! We’re glad you enjoyed tonight’s dram and appreciate hearing your perspective. While we aim to cater to our audience, we’ll definitely consider adding more variety in the future. Cheers to discovering new favorites!
“Slàinte Mhath” is a phrase that means "good health" or "cheers" in both Irish and Scottish Gaelic. It's commonly used as a toast in Scotland, Ireland, and the Isle of Man. Pronounced "slanj-a-va".
Same as above, the color made me think this wasn't going to be great. I was more than pleasantly surprised! Delicious!
Sometimes the color can be a bit misleading. Glad you enjoyed today's sample! 🥃
This was great! A great change of pace.
Thank you for letting us know. Cheers to many more 🥃
Very fruity and sweet. I’ve never seen this one and normally don’t care for rum finishes but this is delicious
Thank you for sharing your tasting notes. Cheers and see you back soon 🥃

The light color was a little deterring but looks can be deceiving. This whiskey packs some heat at 50% along with some delicious fruity flavors
Exactly! We're very happy to hear, you guys are enjoying today's dram 🥃
What is that "goodbye" you are saying? Irish?
