I love how you can vaguely hear "I'm scared" at the beginning and end of the song. it's like the repetition of "I'm not scared" is him trying to reassure himself and trying to push away the truth.

10 years later and this is still one of my favorite albums ever made. I was listening to this in my senior year of high school and I'm still listening as I finish my master's degree
When that extra layer of background instrumental starts at 1:40, I go somewhere. I hadn't listened to this song in a good while. I came back to this because it one of my favorites and when this song came on I never paid attention to that small yet powerful piece. It suddenly became a new song like I was hearing it for the first time. Not often that this happens. Listening to this Album straight through many years ago after a hiking trip. Just driving through the night and listening was one the best experiences I have had. Truly a piece of art.
