This broncos defense plays fast and physical, they weren’t worried about a deep threat, Meyers is a slot guy for the most part of his career, and Adams isn’t necessarily a “deep threat” guy, Renfrow doesn’t have speed like that, that’s why they were able to keep Adams doubled because there wasn’t anyone running an influence route to open the field
That’s the Broncos defense they play fast and physical, this is nothing new, 1st game guys are working with a new QB the timing was off on a lot of the passes he completed, if you go watch his career highlights on the Raiders page there’s a lot of wide open guys he hits deep or mid range
Denver was doubling Davante and really lining things up to prevent JJ from gashing them… once the TE gets more involved and the run game improves, then Davante will feast… For now, good win…
