Tried it on skin today. Sadly, I didn’t care for it. Didn’t care for the OG either. Had high hopes for the 2025 Parfum but it’s just not my jam. Glad you liked it though.
I got a 75 ml @ Shoppersdrugmart for $148 CDN because of a 20% Seniors discount. I also picked up the new TF Bois Pacifique for $238 CDN instead of $310. A total saving of $99. Great fragrances both. Great review BTW.
I heard one reviewer argue that they changed it cause DHP before didn't sell that well. Yeah, that's what happens when a company excludes huge markets from being able to buy it...it doesn't sell well. But bring this generic version to the States...watch it sell, and say SEE!
Great review Randy! I actually really like this fragrance from initial smell, although it didn't last long on my skin... but I only got a spritz on the hand. I have to get my hands on a decant for a full wear to decide if I want to buy, but I'm almost leaning towards picking this one up!
If the iris goes away than I cant support it. Seems like the new designer trend is to re-release a fragrance with the same title or within an iris based lineup but they do away with the iris while still charging top dollar prices. I got a free sample on the way so ill try it when it arrives.
Honestly think MFK knocked it out the park with this one. Is it similar to the previous (the masterpiece) DHP? No. Is it a damn good smelling fragrance? Yes. I get the Le Male Le Parfum comparison but it actually smell better than that fragrance and is more versatile. I can actually see this new DHP being worn in early spring time.
Good review. New DHP will undoubtedly increase sales. Intense was unwearable, off putting and unsellable which Francis recognized right away. However, that off putting, old lady like iris is still present. not a blind buy. Get a sample first.
Will have to get a sample to try. Already have a couple Givenchys, and JPG LeMale Le Parfum. Haven't heard it compared to Ultramale, but have heard the LeParfum. See why they did it.
I've now smelled it multiple times have a few samples and actually quite like it! I like DHI too. Never smelled any version of DHP tbh but this does sound the alarm for mass appeal & for sure does have the inner workings of an Ultra Male dry down. It definitely is spicy and sweet, I just think the bottle sizes and price tag is far too much for this fragrance. $150 and less plus a 100ml size would've struck a bit more balance. $180 for 75ml is too much of a cash grab for this scent imho. Other than that it's not bad at all 8.5 in my opinion.
11:52 "they knocked it out of the park" 12:14 "it's not blow me out of the water good" Two conflicting ideologies; gonna go with "it's not good". Because it's just not
😂😂 good catch💡 to be fair, maybe they knocked it out of the park as in made it nice and mass appeal, but still doesn't blow him away on a personal level
I did not like OG Parfum, I also don't like Intense, even though I had 2 bottles of it, but I sold them. I tried to wear Intense but it was hard. OG Parfum is not wearable for me at all. Other Dior Hommes are fine and wearable but I just think I don't like Dior's style. I prefer Chanel's Allure Homme Sport/Superleggera/Edition Blanche and BDC from designers world. Waiting to test new Parfum 2025 though, once it will appear in nearest Sephoras. Pretty sure Parfum 2025 price will drop a lot by mid year.
If the top of the line designer level release, obviously excluding “prive” or “luxury” lines they may have, smells like a variety of other brand releases at top of the line money, it’s a fail. The fact that you accept it and bring up similarities to so many others is confusing when other frags are called “boring”. This release IS the definition of boring. It smells ok but it’s supposed to be the flagship, it’s not better than most of the other Dior Hommes available in the US right now.
My first fragrance purchase of this year is Gucci Love Edition for him which is pretty good. I wouldn't buy this Dior Parfum 2025, I have enough Dior hommes, the original, the intense (my fav), the parfum 2014, the sport, dior eau.....blah blah so it's a no for me.
I bought this, but returned it. It smells nice, but the iris doesn’t last and the mid and drydown smells just like the AmberXtreme in the base of Prada Luna Rosa Ocean EdP. I already own PLRO EdP. It is the same but it has the extra aquatic freshness.
Removed leather, rose, and oud AND THEN the iris dissipates very quickly. The dry down is generic and boring. Too sweet and smells like so many other frags. Like you said, give it a new name. Maybe Dior Follow Trends Parfum. It will get compliments for sure, and sell well...even though the pricing is absolutely ridiculous.
I've never cared for dior Iris it smells like lipstick. The new dior ain't bad cause the lipstick smell ain't as strong. They are doing a new intense as well
i tried it and it grew on me. it's good but not worth 160. I'm glad the American market has this though. I'll buy it from. discounters. reminds me of ralph club elixir. it does the same thing but ralph club elixir is more bubblegum fresh Instead of amber gourmand. time will tell.

I think you're right... if they would have called this ANYTHING but DHP, this woukd already be a hit!
I tested it in Macys today. it is not $180 good. $100-120 max
@algo2017 I agree... I don't think it's $180 good, but I could put it on par with Le Male or Bad Boy prices.
I got 2020 and I still don't like it.
@ that's one of my favorites. I can't stand the modern sugarbomb colognes. 2020 is for men not for juveniles or unisex types
@@algo2017 Yeah, well, I'm over 49, so I wouldn't exactly consider myself juvenile. I just prefer iris and I think 2020 smells way too synthetic.

Randy dOUD, same as you did I will eventually pick this new Dior version up this year. Hope all is well. Penguins at Flyers in a week or so.
My trusted local retailer informed me they're expecting this during February. I shall test it then take it from there .

I heard this was supposed to be a DHI reformulation, but for whatever reason they put it in the parfum bottle. That explains the difference in smell.

Smells like a powdery Iris version of UltraMale. I just got my bottle in the mail

That Lacoste logo looks like a fully grown 15ft Florida alligator
I agree with everything you said!

It’s amazing

Dior is 1 step closer to a Homme Elixir.
Let’s agree with Ross since you copy everything he does. Your just just not as cool
Just get a mancera black prestigium
I can't lie i almost bought it the smell is so different in a great way but for $200 idk bro lol
Does the lavender have a shaving cream smell to it randi?
@@carasparks8500 no it’s a semi sweet aromatic lavender
Thank you!

way too overpriced and offers nothing new, a pass for sure

No, just a bottle change. The formula is going to be the same

They are not changing dhi. Just the bottle...
