Thank you Malcolm Gladwell for your goodness, clear sighted values and balanced good humoured reassuring talks.I have hugely benefitted from them over the years. They light a path ahead for me, jog on my thinking and help me plan ahead with a much needed sense of affirmation. And thank you to the interviewer and all staff who worked on making this talk available to the World. Keep up this great work.Best of future good health wishes to you all from Dublin, Ireland.
Malcolm - You need to be a guest professor at the United States Military Academy at West Point, our future leaders need to hear your thoughts. I would enroll if they would allow a 60 year old to revisit his college years:). Keep up the great work you are doing.
Malcolm I'm suprised, to be honest. When your host suggested that as a group, an insitutional group, coporations had moved to rank first in trustworthiness in the country, you did nothing to raise any concerns about the dangers related to that situation. Corporations as an institution the most trustworthy such institution in America? Really? Corporations? If this fact is true we are doomed. And where was Malcolm in this discussion?
I was really hoping to hear something more insightful from Malcolm about the vaccine situation. He says that he "doesn't understand how the government and the media are so ineffective in conveying the importance of this vaccine to the public".. Really? It seems that they are trying hard to get everyone vaccinated, but there are good arguments against simply signing up to get these injections.
Regarding the degradation of social responsibility: I have to wonder if it is due to conservative messaging. It has been known for decades that the ranks of the GOP is shrinking due to demographic changes. But, instead of evolving into more popular perspectives, its leaders have decided to fight for survival. This means to turn information into propaganda, attack politics, and voter suppression. And forced the party (and then both parties) to welcome corporate financial support to support them, instead of the public. This has reduced the cooperative spirit of the country and trust in its government institutions. I feel, unfortunately, that we are seeing a failure of the American experiment. Perhaps when climate change develops into an existential crisis, (40-70 years), the country will be forced to improve. Regarding policing: did I miss it, but I don't think this was mentioned at all. USA police are the leased trained and less educated police departments in the developed world.
I am fascinated by the guest list and view counts of this channel. What is happening here TH-cam? Now I don't feel so bad about my YT adventures. Nevertheless - (maybe the P&G logo is the turn off ??? - I subscribed and liked anyway)

Yeah it's pretty weird.
We are pathetic and selfish as a nation. It’s not govt fault people won’t get a shot
Malcolm, we are heading towards communism, or don't you believe it?
Kenna was a good tip...
The David and Goliath nonsense not so much.
Stick to good stuff.
Wake up America!
