I guess im asking the wrong place but does anybody know a method to get back into an Instagram account..? I somehow lost my account password. I love any tips you can give me!
@Boone Nikolas thanks for your reply. I got to the site on google and I'm waiting for the hacking stuff atm. Takes quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
To root for the underdog is to not resit entropy. It is a balancing of things. If a sports team is the underdog one year, and they overcome and win despite this, the next year they are no longer the underdog, but now the returning champion....this process over time, with continued wins, creates dynasties...I believe to root for the underdog is to protest dynasty, we don't like winners winning, we want the experience of the "win" to be spread around...not by choice, but by some subconscious understanding of how unsustainable continued dominance is within any given system.
Good question on the healthcare. Some variables to consider include: 1- who pays the bill? 2- do dogs communicate their opinions, feelings and desires? 3- is the dogs surgical outcome as important to the owner as the owners knee surgery? 4- are post operative surgical outcomes as rigorously measured in dogs as humans?
1. Obstacles can be a blessing, but there is a sweet spot to the number of obstacles that are conducive to growth. One doesn't get to choose the number and type of obstacles they will face in their life. But by any means, they shouldn't make decisions that add to the number of obstacles and tilt the balance against them. 2. But let's say one has an undesirable number and type of obstacles stacked up against them. In that case, they must cultivate the right kind of attitude. One must not interpret their circumstances as crippling agents, but as challenges set up for them to surmount. Perhaps, obstinance, defiance, doggedness, optimism, persistence and other such qualities can help soften the blow of poor provision. 3. Disagreeability might be a key to becoming successful, provided it is wielded carefully. To become successful against odds one must be willing to try different approaches, fail a lot, think unconventionally, ignore the negative voice, or for that reason 'reasonability.' Simply put, one must learn to say 'No,' think differently, and act on their plans. 4. Once you become successful or reach a particular station in life, don't get complacent. Don't let the abundance get the better of you. Live lean, nimble, and slightly uncomfortable. Hope this helps.
@@QUINSYlarynx I see you posted this 2 years ago, so not sure if you will see this, but hopefully you will. I appreciate what you shared here, and found it very good advice and encouraging. Thanks!
My question exactly! Please help me understand how that can be approached. How can hope be channeled into accomplishment? Or does it have to start with understanding what hope might look like or if hope even exists?
while I find these stories told by Malcolm very very interesting as well as the explanations and discussions that he has very intriguing - I do wonder however whether they are simply just that - stories and are there other stories that can fit the same circumstances and outcomes as well? take for example his main story dealt with - David and Goliath - and how that has been interpreted for ------ forever until now and I would imagine will go on being interpreted the way that it has for eons to come unless enough people go throughout the populations from here on in with either Malcolm's books or his new versions to the original story that he relates to us from the bible and force people to read the attachments (Malcolm's stories) or change what has been written in the bible to include the information that Malcolm has given us here - it is highly unlikely that either of the above choices (either the populations from here on in being forced to read Malcolm versions and attachments to the story - or that the original bible verses will be altered to include and explain whatever there is to be changed in order to come to the conclusion that Malcolm has given to us to understand) but rather that with enough time and distraction from that what Malcolm has shared with us here - these new stories and interpretations will most probably be forgotten - even the rules and understandings of how long it might take to become and expert at any task might soon be forgotten and the genius or child prodigy will be looked for or heralded again as before as well - since it is very very true that such beings do exist even if mere mortals cannot believe them to be possible or that such beings without toils and tribulations could ever step foot on the planet earth - what more than this is what I would like to see happen is that Malcolm begins and continues to tell more and more of his fascinatingly captivating stories and that he becomes a being of legends of future beings on earth and that over time he and his great abilities for captivating audiences for hours on end never fades from the collective consciousness - and then perhaps he might then weave into his tales how I ran into him on the streets of Greenwich Village - this fellow who is from Canada and with his head still bowed down chaining his bike to a pole - recognized him - introduced myself to him and gave him my card all in a matter of moments - and as far as I can imagine that is all that it took for me to know a little bit more about Malcolm Galdwell - my friend - and chief story teller! :-)
Losing a football game is "suffering"? Gosh, I hope he was kidding... I don't believe Gladwell "cherry picks", I feel he picks up stories and people the others have long overlooked. The quintessential sour grapes of this profession.

Wondering how to apply these to people in poverty as this can be of great resources for them and the world.

take for example his main story dealt with - David and Goliath - and how that has been interpreted for ------ forever until now and I would imagine will go on being interpreted the way that it has for eons to come unless enough people go throughout the populations from here on in with either Malcolm's books or his new versions to the original story that he relates to us from the bible and force people to read the attachments (Malcolm's stories) or change what has been written in the bible to include the information that Malcolm has given us here -
it is highly unlikely that either of the above choices (either the populations from here on in being forced to read Malcolm versions and attachments to the story - or that the original bible verses will be altered to include and explain whatever there is to be changed in order to come to the conclusion that Malcolm has given to us to understand) but rather that with enough time and distraction from that what Malcolm has shared with us here - these new stories and interpretations will most probably be forgotten -
even the rules and understandings of how long it might take to become and expert at any task might soon be forgotten and the genius or child prodigy will be looked for or heralded again as before as well - since it is very very true that such beings do exist even if mere mortals cannot believe them to be possible or that such beings without toils and tribulations could ever step foot on the planet earth -
what more than this is what I would like to see happen is that Malcolm begins and continues to tell more and more of his fascinatingly captivating stories and that he becomes a being of legends of future beings on earth and that over time he and his great abilities for captivating audiences for hours on end never fades from the collective consciousness -
and then perhaps he might then weave into his tales how I ran into him on the streets of Greenwich Village - this fellow who is from Canada and with his head still bowed down chaining his bike to a pole - recognized him - introduced myself to him and gave him my card all in a matter of moments - and as far as I can imagine that is all that it took for me to know a little bit more about Malcolm Galdwell - my friend - and chief story teller! :-)
