I've been a realtor for over 17 years and think you should find a place that makes you feel comfortable with many amenities. You're going to be alone now for a while. Comfort will help you feel better being alone. I'd find a place that is roomy and has a pool and weight room. For me it must be convenient to a grocery store, coffee shop and be close to an area I can walk and clear my mind. A balcony would be a plus if it's not too noisy outside, but the condo should have a nice view. That's just me. I always tell my clients this. Take your time... because once you pay, it's yours for a while! Good video, thanks

You should really consider doing a video on your divorce and breakup. I know it is private, and probably a fresh open wound that is still painful, but many people could benefit from understanding the situation, and not all these assumptions of what happened. Wish u the best. ❤😢
I have not forgotten that you were actually talking about looking for land to build a house. A HOUSE!!! Married less than a year. Sorry, I had to get it off my chest. Ok, movíng on….
Wow welcome to Bacolod. Im from Bacolod but I live in Manila because my husband is from Manila but I always miss Bacolod and I envy mysiblings living there comfortably and happy.
I can’t do apartments. I have 2 dogs , american bully XL. I have a house in mandaue , north town homes. It’s 175k month but own pool, 5 bedroom and maids quarters. Big yard and good privacy and security. I have everything I want including the Ducati and BMW in the driveway. I like all the rooms because I don’t not let females sleep in the room with me so if I have a few over they can all have their own room. I love it in the PH
Hey Gio I lived in Amaia Steps Capital condo they have brown outs all the time. The generator only operates the elevator. Convenient location. Definitely only consider the new condos.
In my opinion and experience in the Philippines 🇵🇭 I’d say that the 2 bedroom Condominium is more worthy and affordable also. The area for different amenities is phenomenal ❤😊Happy holidays Bro 😎
Been traveling around the Philippines, looking into settling down somewhere. But prices seem out of whack compared to just airbnb. Especially when you add in utilities and deposit. Might just look for a cheap storage unit instead.
Not much on City life but for single it’s good, Get into a sport or social group , Something you enjoy, You’ll do better, Meet some new people maybe a partner to hang with. I take it the separation was civil, Good luck, Still watching, PS don’t give relationship advice lol
I know Manila is not on your list, but I really like Admiral Baysuites in Malate. Corner of Roxas and Quirino, first row on Manila Bay. Stunning views from 50th floor, can see the power station in Mariveles 60km away on a clear day. The studios are small but enough for 1 person. Last time I checked about 25k / month. Some traffic noise even high up, but no mosquitos and rarely other insects as they do not fly at 100m+ altitude.
Good luck Geo. I wish you the best. The last two bedroom that you showed the brand new one that’s what I would want and guess what you’re alone you can afford it.😊
Gio, you should move to Thailand for 6 months. Move to Hua Hin. That's a beautiful place, the beach is insanely beautiful, and the condos are half the price. The food is 10x better also.
@@GiointhePhilippines I would be interested in seeing content from you in both Thailand and Philippines bc those are the 2 countries I'm considering moving to
The first place wasn't bad, but the 2 br. there seemed much quieter with the ocean view. I guess Bocolod is much more expensive place to live. Being right across the street from the Mall was convenient, but you're taking your life in your hands crossing the street!😜
This sounds pretty expensive, Gio! p30K for a studio? Come on! I think I can get 3 or 4 bedrooms for that price in Ormoc! Of course, if you want to go for a condo, you pay for all the amenties. If you're going to be a frequent user of the pool, the fitness and all the other faciilities you might consider it, but if not I think you can find better bargains.
Food are not expensive, the city is famous for culinary arts, ,you look and find it from the different streets in the sorrounding cites of Silay, Talisay, Bago areas, Bacolod , and a fresh air
@@GiointhePhilippines I mean it, Gio. You did your utmost best for Maya and for yourself. Many complain that you married to early. it's a cultural difference I guess. In the past it was normal to get married early and still is in some parts of the world. At your age you wanted to have peace and be settled down and at the same time give your wife and stepchild a good life. It was the right thing to do as a responsible man and husband and stepfather. However, in hindsight looking back facing the reality of today's world and modern technology the rules of the past seem not to apply anymore. The women back then were dependent on the men and had less options. Now the women have become out of control. You couldnt stop this, Gio. No man could and no man can with her and her type of women. This is how I see it. If I am wrong about the situation then I apologise but from my own experience with women there was nothing you could do to prevent this. Hope it all ends well for you. For Maya I have less sympathy but I genuinly feel sorry for you, Gio. Wish you the best and perhaps getting married again is not an option. Take it slow.

Gio , issues in Davao my opinion only as I commute to see my GF here. Costs for housing or condos has risen dramatically, traffic is gridlocked many days, pollution from the Jeepneys worst and not to forget street flooding and earthquakes. I’ve been hearing a lot of negativity about Dumaguete lately, crowded, expensive, filthy, over saturated with ex- pats ,maybe it really is a hell hole.🤣🤣 seems like a lot of ex- pat vloggers are from there.
Dumaguete isn't in one box. If you have more money you can get a descent place outside a cramp city of Dumaguet jus 20 to 30 minutes away, even to an our house or more. You can have a spaceous place with a sea view up in the mountain just outside Dumaguete. Maybe you're on budget living in Dumaguete that's hell to live.
I've been in Bacolod for 16 months. Lived in condo 6 months, house for 10.5 months. In Barangay Mandalagan now where the Robinson's mall is.. Furnished houses are far less than condos, MUCH more space. Nice kitchen after coffee, 1BR P30k is high except for good location. Offer 23k. 2BR with dark wood cabinets P30k, correct price with good location. Further away off Burgos just north of the Pzza resto 2 BRs condos 25k. Robinson's supermarket on Burgos is where I bought food Found Robinson's to be the best in Mactan City, Lapu-Lapu, Cebu Buy fresher, better eggs elsewhere, public markets usually. I'm looking for my next city too!
Tagaytay. Will be alot cooler for you. Tons of nice restaurants. Check out twin lakes Tagaytay & Nuvali Santa Rosa. Easy to drive around too. Great mountain taal lake ridge views
I was confused by the A/C on the 1BR for $424… the condenser unit on the balcony was one half of a mini-split system, but the unit mounted on the wall inside appeared to be a standard window unit. I think i liked the 1BR best - but, if I got the 2BR, I would convert the extra BR into a living room. Hard pass on the Studio (unless it was like an AirBnB for a month or two. Good luck with your choice.
Nice units Gio but certianly prices are higher now than 2 years ago..... and no beach near. I believe you'll be much happy anyplace but Drama City. May wanta consider iloilo ..those prices are iloilo prices .... plus few expats there amd very modern but then, you know that. New scenery maybe nice too. Very best of luck to you, Gio.... your one of the good guys there.
Hello Gio, I'm Greg Luther from USA, but I also have a home in Thailand. I've been watching your videos for a few years now and remember you had a beautiful girl before. I'm dating a beautiful girl from cebu and I would like to ask you where you think pound for pound is the best place to live in philippines?
I was in Manila recently and was shocked to learn how Filipinos fix their coffee. Do you use the brown sugar and powdered creamer? I also prefer medium roast which I found hard to get there. In 3.5 weeks I only had one decent cup of coffee that I didn't want to flush down the toilet, but I needed the caffeine. And that was at Tim Horton's in BGC. Of course, the second time I went there they were out of white sugar and cream, like all other places, but did have medium roast coffee, which still tasted awful with the brown sugar and powdered creme. I left it on the table and walked away. For me, the Phils are coffee hell.
Sorry to hear about your marriage split. I know from your videos you were genuinely serious about settling down. I hope that when the dust settles and you have extricated yourself from the marriage you will explain the steps you had to take to do so. I’m not interested in the why, but a lot of guys will find themselves in a similar position one day and it would be beneficial to understand how you get out of a marriage in the Philippines without losing your shirt. Personally I think single with a girlfriend is the way to go. Onwards and upwards.

@@mrbHanoiI don’t believe a Muslim women would marry a non Muslim. Oh, I could be wrong
2BR, balcony, nice swimming pool, upper floor, OK to nice view, newer building, that's what I'm going for.
I am going to be keeping my place on Nob Hill in San Francisco, California. So my budget is not more than around $1,500 USD. Really impressed with what you get at those posted prices.
Excellent video. Keep em coming. Especially interested in what you show in Cebu City. Currently taking a hard look at the Marco Polo residences, but that's off the beaten path, so to speak.
I think that’s a good option to stay Gio . Low key city with all the perks . Clean and friendly with the comforts of the bigger cities IMO . Great first condo . I love the layout and location. Good luck . 😊
I like the gym game room and pool areas Gio and the views from the balcony look amazing
Hey Gio, wish you all the best in your new endeavors, looking forward to seeing where you end up living.
I liked the first one with the glass panel bedroom divider. But I am very simple when it comes to accommodations
Great video Gio. Thank you for sharing.
My pleasure!
Done with dating !!!
me, too! I managed to stay married to the Filipina I married in Tokyo in 1985. Happily retired to the Bacolod area.
I'm with you... biblical marriage is best. 💯 My LDR was good luck. I've been following Gio, but not following Gio for about 5 years now. Couldn't be happier.
@chrisjuricichxl5 watching Gio huh ?
It’s off to the next chapter. Whatever place you choose you can always move when your lease is up if you don’t like the place or the area. Good luck to you!
I prefer Vietnam for several reasons. The best places in South Vietnam are District 7 of Ho Chi Minh City,Da Nang,Hoi An,Nha Trang,Ninh Binh.Halong bay in North Vietnam
Curious your reasons. ??

He can’t remarry because he is still married. No divorce in the PH. So he and Maya are “stuck” for now
@@teamsalvationHe can do what I plan to do. Just go back to the states and file for divorce. The Philippines may not recognize the divorce. But who cares as long as your home county does.
Hihi never say never 😜🤭
The gentleman is a USA citizen. He can get file for divorce in his home country. The Asawa may be difficult, as there is no divorce laws in the Phs.

pretty cool they are furnished for that price..in Manhattan that would be about 6k usd
You look comfortable right where you have been!
Good video, those condos look like good options. Really liked pool, fitness center. Both important. Best wishes on your quest for city , housing, I’ll be following.
You should really consider doing a video on your divorce and breakup. I know it is private, and probably a fresh open wound that is still painful, but many people could benefit from understanding the situation, and not all these assumptions of what happened.
Wish u the best. ❤😢
HI GIO , I just want to wish you a MERRY XMAS , HAPPY NEW YEARS.

GOD BLESS CIAO
I have not forgotten that you were actually talking about looking for land to build a house. A HOUSE!!! Married less than a year. Sorry, I had to get it off my chest. Ok, movíng on….
Good luck in finding your new home
Wow welcome to Bacolod. Im from Bacolod but I live in Manila because my husband is from Manila but I always miss Bacolod and I envy mysiblings living there comfortably and happy.
I really enjoyed my time in Bacolod. Not many expats, not much traffic, great girls. Save some for the rest of us, Gio!
Recommend read for you Gio. How to be a 3% Man by Corey Wayne. Best of luck and keep making videos.
What city?
That's a great pool for swimming laps.
Not sure if you've been to the Ruins but definitely a nice place to visit if you haven't already done so.
I have! It's a beautiful place.
The last two bedroom that you showed the brand new one that’s what I would want and guess what you’re alone you can afford it.😊
How do they rationalize $510 for a studio?
Gio, you should move to Thailand for 6 months. Move to Hua Hin. That's a beautiful place, the beach is insanely beautiful, and the condos are half the price. The food is 10x better also.
You know I have been tossing around the idea of spitting my time around Asia.
@@GiointhePhilippines I would be interested in seeing content from you in both Thailand and Philippines bc those are the 2 countries I'm considering moving to
@@GiointhePhilippines Watch a guy called Sidetriplife. He has some great condo videos and videos about Hua Hin.
@@GiointhePhilippines If you do, consider 3 months in Vung Tau, Vietnam.
I just came from Hua hin, and you can take a train from Bangkok to Hua hin for less than 5 $
Think i'd go with the $410 per month with the pool, gym and game room looks like a winner
The first place wasn't bad, but the 2 br. there seemed much quieter with the ocean view. I guess Bocolod is much more expensive place to live. Being right across the street from the Mall was convenient, but you're taking your life in your hands crossing the street!😜
Mactan Newtown is much higher. BGC is the most expensive
Good luck, Gio!
Hi Gio im heading back to the Philippines Christmas day thanks for your information on housing 🎉
Bacolod city has the amenities , facilities and infrastructure now unlike before, good strategic location between great cities, Cebu, Duma and Iloilo
Food are not expensive, the city is famous for culinary arts, ,you look and find it from the different streets in the sorrounding cites of Silay, Talisay, Bago areas, Bacolod , and a fresh air
Dear Gio, I apologize if I hurt your feelings. I am on your side. I genuinly hope you will recover and thrive. Take care.
No worries
@@GiointhePhilippines in Maya's last video she or her friends were laying out tarot cards. Huge red flag! Gio, it sucks but you are better off without her. She and her friends are super dangerous. To others and to themselves. Be careful with the women, Gio. Many are lost souls and unfortunately Maya is one of them. Very sad.
Nice video. Do condos in Bacolod allow 3 or 6-month leases or month-to-month lease?
Gio , issues in Davao my opinion only as I commute to see my GF here. Costs for housing or condos has risen dramatically, traffic is gridlocked many days, pollution from the Jeepneys worst and not to forget street flooding and earthquakes. I used to live here for 2 years 2016 to 2018. So many things have changed and not for the better of the people here. Just a heads up and FYI but I’m sure you’re aware of this. Take care
Bacolod seems 'beautiful'. What about your expensive couch in Dumaguette. Thank you for spending time showing these apartments. Important
Some good options there, for sure
If u can't stand being alone for 5 minutes, there's a good chance something is wrong with you
World of difference from that last hell hole of Dumaguete. Wish you all the best.
Thank you
I’ve been hearing a lot of negativity about Dumaguete lately, crowded, expensive, filthy, over saturated with ex- pats ,maybe it really is a hell hole.🤣🤣 seems like a lot of ex- pat vloggers are from there.
Robinson's supermarket on Burgos is where I bought food
Found Robinson's to be the best in Mactan City, Lapu-Lapu, Cebu
Buy fresher, better eggs elsewhere, public markets usually.
This is a much better alternative to Dumaguete in my opinion. Looks nice.
The weird part (to me) about the 1st one was the glass window-wall between the bedroom and the living room. LOL. But they all looked nice!
In Thailand some condos have bathrooms surrounded by glass.
You know what you are doing 👍🏽 I don’t so I decided on Angeles City, not boring here 😅
Dont catch anything
Seems like nice place for you and your wife, enjoy.
Regular guy is reporting that Mark Thornton has passed away.
True
It really depends on what you are looking for. Bacolod is great if you don't mind the heat.
They just added a partition wall and called it a 1 bedroom🤣
