I bought reaver karambit the first day of release. Even though right click animation is cooler on rgx. I don't think that's alone make it reasonable to buy the knife. Of course if you have too much money lying around then it's a different story. But i believe for most people if you have reaver karambit you can skip it.

i bought it, the sounds are quieter in game and the colours are way more vibrant, this doesnt distract me from the game though, also whenever you press y the rgb changes aswell. the black is the base in my opinion, the grip is black and the only thing that makes it a variant is the rgb, and the rgb changes so its just a plain black knife with changing colours instead of a blue one. the noises are very nice and only having to press y once is a very nice feature if you just want the animation to keep going. this is coming from a reaver karambit owner aswell. i say its definitely worth the money because the reaver feels very outdated.

honestly, wish i could buy it and upgrade it to test it but riot wont let u refund if u upgrade, they should make it so if u upgrade it, u have 24 hrs to refund or ur stuck with it, gives people a way to test the full potential of knives

Nuh uh, I get the sentiment attached to the Reaver karambit but objectively speaking, there's no question the RGX just offers way more. Inspects are crucial for melees and the Reaver is sorely outdated there. Not to mention there's a completely new right click animation, too. The fancy RGB effects on top of that as well? The only thing I prefer on the Reaver is the sound but I can trade that for all the other things the RGX offers

@@d6rxx on the static karambit itself yeah, but not by much. The effects on the RGX seem stronger in other places like the inspect etc

if you want a crazy adhd knife then yeah go for the rgx but for a better knife in general it’s the reaver 100%
eh idk. its hard to compare a apple and orange. sure they are both fruits(in this case karambits) but both do what they are built to do really well. reaver spinning indefinetly just dont make sense. personally i like the vibe and effects of reaver more than rgx and imo rgx is too flashy. It aint a knive it a curved glowstick

I just find it such a dick move by riot that they update kill banner and finisher for a two weapon bundle and not for the entire rgx collection that have been sold previously as well. But they did that for sovereign bundle. That's bottom-line stupidity
I know right ! But,what's interesting is riot did change the kill banner color for each variant for the rgx 2.0 a couple months ago,but then it got reverted back to normal because the kill sound sounded like default.
The blue variant 1st click inspect is yellow. They should've made it white or just blue.
in my personal view i think the Reaver would be better if it would be released now, but since the RGX is the newer one I rather would have it
Reaver is boring it lacks sfx shorter animation boring design so rgx way better

rgx would be so much better if you can pre set the backlighting in your inventory since the default backlighting is never the best one
Yeah if you own the Reaver Karambit already like myself, its hard to justify picking it up. I think design wise and variants are much better on Reaver but in terms of extra animations the RGX does take the cake, ild still say Reaver beats it slightly as it should, Reaver being like a 9.5/10 and RGX being like a 8.5/10

Rgx is def better just based on sound and the right click, the colors too hell yeah
I think the colour design on rgx is better, simply because its more customisable. There are 4 base variants, with each variant having 4 highlight colours, essentially giving the knife 16 variants, compared to reavers 4
if its 4350, its the best knife in the game. i say this as a reaver karam owner.

it VASTLY Depends on your preference in the OG ness like Revaer is the OG karambit like reaver makes people Pogging while Rgx is also an OG line it is less OG thatn Reaver if you catch my drift, So if you are into something that is proven and tested then Reaver karambit will be better option while RGX karambit is a mix of the Reaver and Magepunk balisong since the heavy attack is mega flashy and has more shiny ascpect and will cater to the newer people. so the main aspects are Nostalgia vs Flashiness.
I like the rgx more imo I might cop it since I just started on Val and have been having so much fun with my friends running five stacks

If you don’t wanna wait go for it, but if your fine with waiting wait till the last day rgx is in the shop as champions will probably be leaked and you can decide which knife is better then. Also stuff can rotate into the daily shop

rgx is so clear of reaver, first of all the different variants can change of color and u have a lot of different options, the animations on rgx r way better than reaver’s n when inspecting rgx u get an infinite spin while in reaver it’s a short one, n when double inspecting rgx u have a complete rgb spin which is rlly cool, and if you want a quiet karambit just use the basic form of rgx, that shouldn’t even be a comparison

I bought the entire oni 2.0 when it came out I would say the katana is really cool but it kind of lacks on pull out animation and this new knife is looking kinda clean so in my opinion I would buy the new one but overall it is up to your personal preference.
tbh after a while oni katana gets very boring
I love the looks of the RGX karambit, but after a day or two, I lost interest in it since the only good thing there is its M2.
Its inspect animation is somewhat meh. Id rather have an ending everytime I inspect than having it on loop.
Being the owner of the Reaver Karambit, I think I'll pass on another karambit. The only thing worth picking up from the RGX 3.0 is the outlaw, player card and the buddy.
Why doesn't riot update old karambits to have the same animations? Not only that but all similar melee weapons. I just feel it's INCREDIBLY greedy. For those of us who have Ion, Reaver or Champions they now feel cheated bc this has better animations and a more fluid inspect. It's fucking gross how much riot doesn't care about its playerbase
LMAO just because it's a karambit doesn't mean all of the karambits have to have the same animations. Same with cars, the newer they are the more features they have.
@prodigygamer6128 nah it goes for every melee weapon. Imagine if they gave the old jett kunai the mistbloom animations. Even if it costed Radianite or something just let us have the customization. It's not bad. And lowkey you defending a multi-million dollar company for greedy actions is such a beta sheep move.

@prodigygamer6128 that just seems too closed minded. This is another incentive for players to buy into the game. To mix and match certian melee animations + different skins would be sick. And would push the boundaries of what is already there. Just positive ideas for the game. But nah keep that negative mindset and keep everything boring and ass for consumers who still enjoy the game without shelling thousands of dollars per episode for the "content" they actually release.
@@Kallastin me personally as someone who owns all of these knives, i prefer them to not go back and change them. I enjoy champions unique inspect, i enjoy how unique rgx is as it makes it stand out and feel a lot different, and i enjoy both animation styles of prime as well. In my opinion the variety makes the knives more special. My least favorite of the karambits are reaver/ion because they have the least unique things about them. Theyre both the same animations as champions just with a worse inspect which makes them feel lazier and i never really find myself using them. But I love using prime and champions still and im having a ton of fun with the new knife. If they made all the knives the exact same it would just make the knives feel boring because of how similar they are which is already an issue i have with the valorant knives.

reaver is much more pleasing in a subtle way, rgx is much more flashy so people are gonna think its cool right now but get bored of it fast like the firefly

Right click on rgx is great. But the inspect can get annoying. As for reaver, I like the design more but no infinite inspect.
The inspect sound is extremely obnoxious.
Since their cost is the same, objectively, RGX is better tbh, you get 2 for 1 in a sense, you can have the special right click and rainbow as well as de default one putting it at lvl 1

Eh in terms of variants, the rgx wins. The reaver variants has two that are pretty redundant. A brighter red and a darker red? Come on.

Reaver because it is OG and then it isn't distracting or flashy and doesn't have the GPU spinning sound, I might buy the RGX Karambit thought it looks good but will wait until end of the bundle sale to first check the weapon of Champions 2024.
I personally own the Ion karambit and I think it is more sleek and cooler than this RGX karambit. I just think there are too many things going on with it and its too loud.
Right click is awesome but not enough for me since I already own reaver karambit
The bundle really hinges on the knife its not worth buying it on its own basically you get 2 more skins for a knife
Remember, reaver knife was free in the bundle, the rgx isnt

I have both and theyre my favorite knives love the sounds of rgx but the reaver sounds are pretty fucking bomb too
the animation is much better on the RGX but I dislike the visual design, looks way too busy and generic to me

ayo thats crazy. it might be over time in the game cause i found some clips where the rrgx also had teh night effect. we might not notice cause it starts the game at day time or smth adn the light effect deosnt change

But everytime riot releases a new knife with a new animation, magepunk switchspark, mystbloom kunai or xerofank knife, i wish they made a system of when you have two skins where you could apply one skins anination to another, you will be able to,
So like, i could have a champions karambit with this right click, or the opposite the rgx karambit with chanpions inspect, but also potentialy something like champions aura on other skins or special reloads as reaver on other gun skins, and really in general more options for customization with skin variants
