There are so many better alternatives out there! Speaking of prints and polyester - your blouse from Reiss is a perfect example how a modern print and fabric should look like in that price range. Taking advantage of the fact that consumers do not give the proper time to the process of shopping that was once required. I return anything that doesn't meet my personal standards... I have never bought anything from them, and I am not likely to now, either. You are always asking for feedback. So could I ask for a body shape, colour coding type of video. I feel I know myself and my style well. I am small, too and prefer structured clothes. I get lost in loose clothing. I suit the winter colours - hot pink, navy, grey, white, red and some black. Not everything you showcase suits me and I am quite discerning about how to filter that out to what works for me. Nevertheless, I wonder what approach you take to applying new items to your particular shape, style and colour. It is a fascinating process and I would like to know how you break it down. I think the bottom line is polyester no matter how good it feels is still polyester and not good for the environment. It's not just these retailers who use poly it's even high end designers.

Extremely useful, I've never shopped from Revolve, but this helps me with my desicision hugely, so thank you! I feel like any online order one makes is a bit of a gamble, because it never actually looks like it did on the website, so I am more comfortable doing it in the actual shop..
rosielunaleo I shop at revolve a lot. They do have cute good quality clothes as well. You can try them out yourself to see if they work out for you and their return policy is good too 🤗
@@Pinkorchid1605 return policy yes, but if you read more, they say that they only allow a certain number of returns or up to a certain amount (I don't remember the exact policy)... so really, taking 10 items just to choose 2 or none out of them, to return the rest, might ad up fast to hit that policy. I've never heard of Revolve, even though I'm an American! I must say I'm Embarrassed for this Company! Not a good way to make a good impression in Britian! The sizing and Quality, considering the price range is not a good sign at all! I agree most hardily about the packaging, too! To Me ALL of these items are a Huge Disappointment! I shop online & in store for a lot of my things at Talbots (stores in Britian), Ann Taylor, Dillard's, Belk & others! These stores feature European designs & Quality for about the same price as featured here. For am American Haute Coutre Designer I purchase Ralph Lauren ready-to-wear! My All Time Fav Designer (since I was 12yrs old) is of course Chanel! Thank you as always for your Video!

If you can, return all of them. For the price you shouldn't have to alter anything. You have the type of shape where practically everything looks good on you so if it's not made well, it won't fit well.
I agree wholeheartedly. Brands seems to think we are made of money or don't think we understand the value of it. Quality, is not an option at any price point and for what Josie spent, it should be at a certain standard without compromise.

It really seems like an American Apparel type brand that can rip people off for their cheap quality clothes because it's so in now, but will go out of business once the trend passes... Thanks for sharing. The last dress you tried on the one with the pink and white stripes are not worth athe price tag. Look closely at the joint in the waist, the pink stripes are not aligned with the top part of the dress. I dunno about the rest but to me for that price tag this dress is so badly cut. I hope u returned it for s full refund. Sometimes we can all get caught up with influencers talking only good things about the stuff they get but a little honesty is so refreshing and gives me hope that consumers will not begin to compromise on the quality they deserve for the price they pay just because their fav influencer is giving the product a thumbs-up!

Gosh I am so glad that you are talking about this. I spent a fortune on Revolve, the pieces looked amaazing online. I was so shocked at the poor quality when they arrived, I have worn none of them. They smelled so strongly of inscence and looked so cheap and unappealing. I'm not one to complain but I'm glad you are mentioning this because have I had seen this video it would have saved me the money and disappointment!

As an American, I can safely say that Revolve is not a website I frequent. The quality leaves something to be desired. For prices from $100-$300, I would go with brands like Kate Spade, Reformation, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, etc. You will get a better quality product for your money. I agree with you.....so many times I have ordered from a website and 9 out of 10 times I send them back.....the packaging is usually just plastic bags nothing special.....I found Saks Fifth Avenue, Zimmerman and any designer bag comes beautifully packaged....I live in New York and I didn’t realize until you said it about our pricing here....the only thing I liked that you tried on was the bathing suit quite flattering on you. I agree polyester doesn't always mean it's bad, theres good and bad polyester just like theres good cotton and bad cotton. I hope people won't stereotype man-made materials as bad, man-made fibres like polyester made with high craftsmanship is high quality and is worth the price.
Really good video Josie, I purchase fashion from all different price points, and I absolutely agree the money spent definitely is not reflected in the items you showed, all the items were not cut nicely and at that price they really should fit nicer, as well, you really would be wanting a natural fabrics like silk not polyester. 👍

I’ve shopped on revolve a couple of times and the prices do not reflect quality at all. The only way I shop for revolve own brand is if the peices I want are in the sale, I couldn’t imagine paying more than £60 for most peices. Although revolve is good for hard to reach brands like Thurley that you don’t often see in the UK. If you haven’t tried Thurley for occasionwear Josie, I’m sure you’d love it.

This was very useful! I have only ordered Tularosa from Revolve and have not been disappointed,. I always check the marterial and where it is made. My pieces are not polyester and they are really well made in India. However, I totally agree that they should be consistent with the quality since their prices are high. I mostly buy when they have a sale. Love and blessings!

I think they have become more hype rather than quality and also I wish they promoted all bodies. Everything is too perfect. I've never ordered anything from Revolve I like to try on before I buy unless its a shop I'm really used to. I don't feel like I'm missing out now tho! I have always wondered why mail orders come in excessively large boxes, with loads and loads of tissue paper. It's all just going to end up in a landfill. Too much packaging IMO and we really need to cut down on all that extra paper and plastic used in packaging and shipping. No?
I agree about the plastic - which these all came in - but cardboard is biodegradable - so not a problem for the earth - likewise tissue paper. Cardboard in the UK is usually made from recycled paper anyway - and can be recycled again,
This was very interesting and useful. I'm abhorred that poly dresses cost so much. Personally, I hate polyester more than anything, high quality or no. It is basically a plastic based material. It doesn't breathe and after 30 minutes you smell like armpit and that smell doesn't wash out. I stopped buying polyester years ago. Prefer cotton, pure or blends, and silks when I can afford it. Viscose may do, but that's a big "may". However, I liked the last piece you showed. Very summery and flattering. Didn't quite catch the material, but if it was cotton I'd keep it. It looked wonderful on you. Finally, I'd love to see more of your beautiful mom. Love from a swedish granny.

I do not get a WOW feeling with any of the dresses. I have polyester dresses from Mango in which I feel great but Revolve does not do it for me. Is the whole collection like this or would you do another try in winter?

Ive been buying a lot of these delicate fabrics lately (some of them inspired by you), and I would like to know how you wash them, iron them etc. to keep them in good condition so you can wear them year after year (as you say). I agree wholeheartedly. Brands seems to think we are made of money or don't think we understand the value of it. Quality, is not an option at any price point and for what Josie spent, it should be at a certain standard without compromise.

It really seems like an American Apparel type brand that can rip people off for their cheap quality clothes because it's so in now, but will go out of business once the trend passes... Definitely agree that people - esp the younger girls - should stop dumping their hard earned money on it.

Hi Josie. Since I have been watching your videos, I have became a more conscientious shopper. I take time to really look at the quality of the piece before buying it. Thanks for sharing. The last dress you tried on the one with the pink and white stripes are not worth athe price tag. Look closely at the joint in the waist, the pink stripes are not aligned with the top part of the dress. I dunno about the rest but to me for that price tag this dress is so badly cut. I hope u returned it for s full refund. Sometimes we can all get caught up with influencers talking only good things about the stuff they get but a little honesty is so refreshing and gives me hope that consumers will not begin to compromise on the quality they deserve for the price they pay just because their fav influencer is giving the product a thumbs-up!
While the "maybe it's an American thing" came across as rude..I am so thankful that I learned that Reiss has better polyester than Revolve.
I will take polyester any day over viscose. Poly tends to hold color better and shape as well.
But for the money they should be silk or linen.
Apart from the first swimsuit, this collection was a bit underwhelming, particularly because of the fit and quality for the price. I'm wondering how it works if you are dissatisfied and want to make a return, is Revolve's customer care good?
I would return everything but the swimsuit. I feel like I got better quality at Nordstrom yesterday for less money.

Gosh I am so glad that you are talking about this. I spent a fortune on Revolve, the pieces looked amaazing online. I was so shocked at the poor quality when they arrived, I have worn none of them. They smelled so strongly of inscence and looked so cheap and unappealing. I'm not one to complain but I'm glad you are mentioning this because have I had seen this video it would have saved me the money and disappointment!

I agree Josie. The clothes look so beautiful and are so expensive. I have been disappointed many times with quality. It comes all wrinkled in a plastic bag. Kind of a let down.

As an American, I can safely say that Revolve is not a website I frequent. The quality leaves something to be desired. For prices from $100-$300, I would go with brands like Kate Spade, Reformation, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, etc. You will get a better quality product for your money. I agree with you.....so many times I have ordered from a website and 9 out of 10 times I send them back.....the packaging is usually just plastic bags nothing special.....I found Saks Fifth Avenue, Zimmerman and any designer bag comes beautifully packaged....I live in New York and I didn’t realize until you said it about our pricing here....the only thing I liked that you tried on was the bathing suit quite flattering on you. The fabric content on many of the items I just looked at was the same as the Topshop items I have ordered in the past except way more Expensive!

I agree polyester doesn't always mean it's bad, theres good and bad polyester just like theres good cotton and bad cotton. I hope people won't stereotype man-made materials as bad, man-made fibres like polyester made with high craftsmanship is high quality and is worth the price.
I agree. That is my experience of Revolve. Though it has unique items so good for one off occasion. Quality though is variable and a lot of polyester.

Really good video Josie, I purchase fashion from all different price points, and I absolutely agree the money spent definitely is not reflected in the items you showed, all the items were not cut nicely and at that price they really should fit nicer, as well, you really would be wanting a natural fabrics like silk not polyester. 👍

I appreciate your take on this Josie - and agree ...... However, I will say in America.. we don't like to pay high prices for cheap quality either.... and have no problem returning such items with a comment about the quality to the retailer..
I’ve shopped on revolve a couple of times and the prices do not reflect quality at all. The only way I shop for revolve own brand is if the peices I want are in the sale, I couldn’t imagine paying more than £60 for most peices. Although revolve is good for hard to reach brands like Thurley that you don’t often see in the UK. If you haven’t tried Thurley for occasionwear Josie, I’m sure you’d love it.

This was very useful! I have only ordered Tularosa from Revolve and have not been disappointed,. I always check the marterial and where it is made. My pieces are not polyester and they are really well made in India. However, I totally agree that they should be consistent with the quality since their prices are high. I mostly buy when they have a sale. Love and blessings!
Wow I commend the honesty. Enjoyed the video. I remember ordering from revolve before the blogger boom and when they carried labels such as yaya (I still have an amazing trench from them- via revolve). I think they have become more hype rather than quality and also I wish they promoted all bodies. Everything is too perfect. I've never ordered anything from Revolve I like to try on before I buy unless its a shop I'm really used to. I don't feel like I'm missing out now tho! My all time favourite go to shop is River Island for most things apart from trousers as I like to pay a bit more for a better fit. I'd like to try Reiss after binge watching ur videos. It's a shop I'd never considered before xxx
I have always wondered why mail orders come in excessively large boxes, with loads and loads of tissue paper. It's all just going to end up in a landfill. Too much packaging IMO and we really need to cut down on all that extra paper and plastic used in packaging and shipping. No?
I agree about the plastic - which these all came in - but cardboard is biodegradable - so not a problem for the earth - likewise tissue paper. Cardboard in the UK is usually made from recycled paper anyway - and can be recycled again,

This was very interesting and useful. I'm abhorred that poly dresses cost so much. Personally, I hate polyester more than anything, high quality or no. It is basically a plastic based material. It doesn't breathe and after 30 minutes you smell like armpit and that smell doesn't wash out. I stopped buying polyester years ago. Prefer cotton, pure or blends, and silks when I can afford it. Viscose may do, but that's a big "may". However, I liked the last piece you showed. Very summery and flattering. Didn't quite catch the material, but if it was cotton I'd keep it. It looked wonderful on you. Finally, I'd love to see more of your beautiful mom. Love from a swedish granny.

I do not get a WOW feeling with any of the dresses. I have polyester dresses from Mango in which I feel great but Revolve does not do it for me. Is the whole collection like this or would you do another try in winter?
I wish you would do a video about different fabrics and how to take care of them. Ive been buying a lot of these delicate fabrics lately (some of them inspired by you), and I would like to know how you wash them, iron them etc. to keep them in good condition so you can wear them year after year (as you say). I think the swimming suit is really nice but the dresses look cheap, unfinished and the floral print looks a bit old fashion! Your usual brands are so much nicer 💕
