With the amount of people I've seen being overwhelmed by the amazing sensory onslaught of the trailer (myself included), I figured it would be best to do a general explanation of everything that was shown. While most of us can generally connect everything that happened here with the events of the other games, with this video, I tried to condense any such connections in one place for anyone still new to the series that might be curious. I hope this helps and that we're all equally excited about what comes next! Links to the original trailers will be in the description, as always. Also, we have one more month until the next Summit, so mark your calendars, everyone!
Kiryu being at the Survive Bar makes me wonder if there will be a small scene between him and Kashiwagi. No acknowledging their old names, just pretending that they are strangers, fully content that they’re both safe.
@@speeddemon144p Yeah I heard it's going to be half the length of a usual Yakuza game so all the side content has gotta make up for that price. Still a bit expensive for me though.
Good to see it's a full fledged brawler style Yakuza game and not a phoned-in spinoff Also Slot Car Racing: Kiryu's most proud accomplishment... destroying little kids with toy cars
It's easy to forget this is meant to be a smaller-scale game with all the content they seem to have packed in it! And the quality seems to be present as ever, Daigo being playable for the first time is also pretty hype! And if Kiryu can be barefoot... how do the rocket shoes work in that case? Here's something to test out when the time comes...
I really expected a small game but from the looks of it, Gaiden seems to be packed, may be a bit smaller than the usual mainline games but still packed with tons of activities. The story seems to be intriguing, the combat looks so fun and the outfits looks so cool! EDIT: I honestly have to give huge thumbs up for whoever directed the trailer, the whole vibe of it, how it is edited and the song that accompany the drama, man that felt so good!
I'm quite sure that Kiryu goes to Hawaii not long after the main conflict in Gaiden is resolved. It would explain how he will be able to lay low for 5 years without getting dragged into conflicts, well, until Ichiban finds him and requests his help with something. The mystery would be why Hawaii of all places.
One part of the trailer i havent seen anyone mention yet is that we see Morning Glory again and a character out of focus in the background who I guess is probably Haruka. This could be small cameo or maybe she will return in some capacity.
Also Mitsuo and Taichi, if I'm not mistaken. If she does return in a more long-term manner, that could happen in Infinite Wealth, but as far as Gaiden goes all we can probably hope for is a brief cameo.
Seeing Kiryu, Majima, Saejima and Daigo ready to raise hell in that trailer put all of my wishes I had for Yakuza 6 to rest. November is going to be an incredible time.
Also majimas white shirt combo and his suit from 0 are part of the customizeable outfits and also given how hes supose to be in hiding it kinda makes sense u can customize his look
I can't see J3 coming out after Lad8 infinite wealth since there's another rumored title they been working but even if they reveal J3 could be soo good for them right now
@@JinKolmak_TaKo Prolly new title cuz Yagami agency sucks ball. They should've gone with voice acting only with original face instead of using his likeness

Looks great, but f them for not releasing it physically in the west. They KNOW their fans are collectors, too, proven by the fact they gave the Yakuza 5 case out with the collection.
Y6 = Kiryu’s “end”, Y7 = Ichiban’s Y0 (Kiryu’s send off BEFORE the ACTUAL send off), Gaiden = A love letter to the whole series, especially Kiryu, Y8 = Kiryu’s true passing of the torch. After 8, I’ll be 100% okay if we never see him again, maybe in Y10 he can make a cameo where he’s a grandpa
I am really interested in the arena mode as so much is unknown about it can we playas specific characters who are coded as a leader type? Or as everyone that is unlockable? Such a mystery...
Im only sad about the fact that there won't be any cabaret ownership business. I really enjoyed that in Zero. Buuuuut the fact that Pocket circuit is back has me hyped ! The story looks cool ! haha
Seeing the little bits of gameplay in this trailer, I’ll say it definitely looks smoother and more polished up compared to LJ, and I’ve been looking at the Kiryu mod of that since that kind of gives us a glimpse of how Yakuza style will feel.
I really need to get caught up on the franchise. I started playing with 7 since it was being touted as an RPG reboot of sorts. I absolutely fell in love with that game. I beat 0 a couple of weeks ago after pouring 102 hours into it. Beat Kiwami 1 a few days ago and now I’m a few chapters into Kiwami 2. I have been missing out.
I did the same! But just a heads up that Yakuza 3 is a little rough as it's a remaster of a PS3 game rather than Kiwami style remake. But then 4 and 5 add some great characters and give more back story on some of the characters we met in 7, so definitely worth playing. 6 will be more like the Kiwami 2 game.
@@LanceCorporal_Waffles yeah lol. The story itself is fine, but it's especially hard going from Kiwami 2 to the gameplay of 3 lol. Plus the Cabaret mini game is totally different.. and again, hard to follow up after the 0 and K2 versions.
