  • In this week's episode, the Branson Fam checked out one of the newest attractions in Branson, MO. Dig Town Adventure Park is a fun area designed for families to operate small versions of heavy equipment together. It is a great place to learn how heavy equipment works and have fun at the same time. At the time of recording this, our kids were 5 and 3 years old. Our family thoroughly enjoyed each part of the new attraction and we hope that you will as well.

This is the one I was really waiting for. Didn't disappoint. When the girls get older we will have to get them to the Caterpillar proving grounds in Tuscon to try out the real equipment.

That looks like fun. Unfortunately my kids are a little old for something like that. I wish they had built it about 15 years ago.

What is the age range for kids?

I think their website says there are things to do for kids 2 and up. Our 3 year old was able to operate a lot of the equipment, but she is tall for her age. They have height requirements to operate some of the equipment by themselves, which I think was 42 inches off the top of my head. For the high end of age it depends on the kids. Honestly, some adults would have a blast at Dig Town. If you are an 18 year old kid that operates heavy machinery every day, then the equipment is not going to bring you as much joy as someone that has never had an opportunity to operate the machines. The Crane of Pain and minigolf are fun for all ages.

Is there an age &/or height requirement? My daughter will be 3 by the time we get back to Branson, but she's definitely on the small end for her age. She would LOVE this though.

So they have a height requirement for operating some of the machines by themselves. Our 3 year old is big for her age and she was barely tall enough. I want to say it was 42 inches. I know the Tot-Spot for instance they recommend for kids 2-4 years old. So I would think that she would be good there. I would call or message them ahead of booking tickets just to make sure on her specific height what she would or would not be able to do.

@@BransonFamVlog Thank you!! She's nowhere near 42 inches, & won't be anytime soon. Good to know this before booking anything. We'll definitely check in with them before we try going.

@@kg7161 We understand. We obviously have our own little ones. We always do our best to check for height/age requirements. One of the worst things for us is when one is able to do something and the other one is barely just too small. Our 3 year old thinks she is just as big as our 5 year old who thinks she is just as big as our soon to be 23 year old.

What a total rip off!! We took two kids, did the 6 rides each, was $89.00 for both kids, each ride is litterly 2 minutes long and they have to get off, that's a total of 12 minutes per kid, with a total of 24 minutes for both. Really!!! Such a rip off and very disappointed, had to wait forever for the rides, as only one girl operating the whole thing. This was July 2024.

Sorry to hear that. Our 3 and 5 year old kids did like it a lot. But each kid is going to enjoy different things.
