    I owe you a big thank you for talking about the La Roche Posay Toleriane Ultra Face Moisturizer for Sensitive Skin in one of your videos. It is my favorite moisturizer!! I had a reaction to the Garnier Micellar Water. It was pretty bad on my eye lids and neck. This moisturizer worked so good for soothing and helping with the dry patches I got as the irritation was clearing up. I use it every night and it’s honestly something I look forward to using. I absolutely love the texture and how soft it leaves my skin. Love the packaging too!! I don’t think it’s one I would have ever tried if I hadn’t heard you mention it. It’s honestly kind of pricey for a basic moisturizer but it really is perfect for me. I always have CVS coupons so I stock up when I can get a good deal.

    Not necessarily sensitive skin but very sensitive eyes. Aveeno oat cleanser is great and La Roche-Posay spf 60 or 100 are great. None of these turn my eyes red or burn.

      I've got to be careful as well about my eyes. Do you wear eye makeup? I do and pick wisely for any products making sure no fragrance, etc. otherwise I'd have red irritated eyes. Btw: think vaseline on eyelids can be helpful. Am going to use more at night or when at home not going out. Your hair shampoos with fragrance, etc can cause red eye.

    Hi Dr Sam a few of my favourites for my extremely dry, mature, rosacea and eczema prone skin are:
    Bioderma sensibio misceller water - gentle yet effective eye makeup remover and is the best thing for my eyes which have some involvement in my rosacea. It can double as a very gentle cleanser for my face/neck and I'm never without it.
    Avene antirougours refreshing cleansing milk - my favourite milk cleanser. It's super gentle/hydrating and yet takes off all my makeup leaving my face soft/comfortable
    Cosrx cica or propolis toners - super hydrating for my really dry skin and yet very gentle on the skin
    Niod modulating glucosides - calms redness and provides antioxidants etc - it's an excellent all rounder serum
    Paula's choice clinical ultra dry skin moisturiser - rich/buttery moisturiser without a greasy residue and keeps my skin feeling soft and comfortable all day long. For my very dry skin it's just the best.
    Colourscience original mineral spf50 - sits beautifully on the skin and it doesn't dry me out or irritate like many mineral spfs can
    LRP baby cicaplast and lipikar (the baby versions have a slightly better INCI list) - the cicaplast I use as a rescue remedy, but the lipikar is my night cream of choice. I'm super dry so it works on face, neck and chest for me.
    Avene cicaplast lips - just the best for sore/dry/chapped lips
    benton goodbye redness centella rescue mask - a sheet mask without fragrance and with enough centella to really calm the skin down. It's also super hydrating and is a great rescue remedy for hot/red skin that feels very dehydrated.
    there you go a few of my absolute favourites and staples. I live in the UK, but most of these are available internationally. Best wishes.

    I developed a terrible itchy red rash on my face and neck last week. Definitely a reaction to something I used. As much as I didn’t want to do it, the elimination diet worked. I only used the CeraVe hydrating cleanser then introduced the La Roche-Posay Lipikar moisturizer. They worked wonders! I’m all better now. Depends on what your sensitivity is. I have eczema prone/dermatitis skin and love makeup particularly eye makeup. I use online search called incidecoder to put name of product in their search, and gives a detailed run down on skin products/makeup. I watch out for fragrance, alcohol, essential oils.. Amazing how many inexpensive eye makeups I can tolerate by going to the incidecoder to know what bad/good ingredients there are before buying. L'oreal is one of the best foundations. I choose the ones without fragrance. Have 2 I just bought recent and like. Also make sure primers are ok too with different brands. ELF has some of their moisturizers/makeups without fragrance and are good at a cheap price too.

    I’ve been wanting to try CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, but at the present time I’m very pleased with LaRoche-Posay Hydrating Gentle Cleanser.
    I’ve watched dozens of skincare videos for sensitive skin, and I think you may be the first to cover products for different skin body parts! I’ve been looking for someone to recommend a shampoo & conditioner, so you just made my day! My scalp had been itching and the only thing that I had been using was Witch Hazel and/or Tea Tree Oil, although the latter scent is not very pleasant!
    Lastly, I’ve heard mixed recommendations about using Vaseline Petroleum Jelly. Mainly, because Vaseline’s main ingredient is Petroleum, and I believe it comes from crude oil and I definitely don’t want this anywhere on my skin!
    Overall, good informative content!

    • @llulypapillon
      @llulypapillon 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      She has spoken about this in another one of her videos, where she explains that comparing petroleum jelly to crude oil is like comparing purified drinking water with gutter water. Dermatologists recommend petroleum jelly for so many skin needs, they're not all insane and aren't recommending people lather their faces with black oil fresh out of the earth.

    • @CaptainMarvel007
      @CaptainMarvel007 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That’s a valid argument. However, as the name suggests, petroleum jelly is derived from petroleum, a toxic crude oil. After all,
      the consumer can decide what’s best for their skin.

    I use Bioderma's Sensibio micellar water and Vanicream cleanser as my double cleanse. I can't recommend the micellar water enough! It's super gentle like water. For moisturizer I use Sensibio light cream, and it's the first and only moisturizer I've repurchased multiple times! As someone with sensitive skin, half the battle is finding a product that won't do anything to your skin (sounds weird but IYKYK). That moisturizer sinks and feels like water on the skin. It may not be enough for super dry skin or cold climates but there's a rich version. Bioderma is sold at CVS(in the usa) and I've seen some products at Target.

    Love the toothpaste and shampoo recommendations, though some of these aren't very accessible price-wise the Avène Tolérance Extrême is $39 and the Cotz Sensitive SPF 40 is $27 although not the most expensive sunscreen it still adds up esp with something we have to use every day, it would be nice to have more affordable alternatives.

Also, a dermatologist recommended me the Avène Clenanance anti-blemishes concentrate, but if I use it constantly, it dries my skin. I'm currently using a Nivea face moisturizer and sunscreen that I gave my mom, and it works for me for some reason. Unfortunately, I cannot use it after the anti-blemishes cause it gives me an allergy reaction. For hair, I use dandruff shampoo once a week, for conditioner, I don't have to be so picky thankfully. Definitely going to try the Vaseline but about the toothpaste and the washing soap I probably will try to find something like it in my country hoping it doesn't cost a whole organ 🙏🙏

    Cerave hydrating cleanser can be burning on your skin when your skin is very sensitive that period of time, same tingling burning feeling with cerave PM lotion. I believe it is due to the sodium hyaluronate or something inside the formulation. Try it again months later when your skin is less sensitive and you might be able to accept it again. Bioderma sensibio is always working for me and even when cerave burns my skin.

    I just started watching you! Have you ever heard of a company called "Seen?" They have fragrance-free shampoo and conditioner they say won't clog pores. I was wondering what, if anything, is different in their products compared to Vanicream?

    Looking for sunscreen recommendations for the ultra sensitive, if someone could please share :)
    Super sensitive skin that reacts to everything + retinoid = hard to find sunscreen. "Physical" sunscreens cause flaking, even the very moisturizing ones
    Thought skin aqua was my HG, but after a few months realized it was not actually protecting from the sun enough (although it says spf 50 and I used more than recommended).
    I tried sooo many sunscreens (American, Korean, Japanese). But my skin just keeps either reacting, flaking, or both.

      Have you tried the Pipette sunscreen? It is the most moisturizing mineral spf I’ve ever seen. Almost to the point of being too oily of a finish for me personally, but if you get dried out easily from zinc, this could be your holy grail. Great price too- like $15/$16 for 4oz. It does leave a slight white cast, but it’s very slight/not bad at all. Idk if you could tolerate the Colorescience ones, but I’ve found the Flex line to be way more hydrating than the Original one.
