I really really hope they make their story a lot of grim and aren't afraid of dark themes. So sick and tired of games being Disney ride adventure stories.

Isn't that the lore of how the devils were created originally? Angels that spent so much time fighting demons and in such close proximity to them ended up manifesting physical traits similar to them... And the fact that they were hopelessly outmatched lead to them making a pact with the gods to harness the soul of mortals for power - but only the bad ones.
So then they sign the deal and immediately start trying to tempt humans into ruining their souls because they need more souls for more power to fight the demons... Until they end up becoming a more destructive and evil force than the demons were
I just started playing Kingmaker about a week ago on a lark after it having sat in my library since it came out... I didn't even realize Wrath of the Righteous was a thing! Lol weird coincidence. I'm super excited though. Really enjoying Kingmaker so far. The progression and gameplay is fantastic and appropriately challenging.

Had a lot of fun with kingmaker (although the kingdom building could end up spiraling into disaster if you didn't keep your stats up) but ended up putting over 100 hours into it. Really looking forward to the sequel.
I know, one playthrough I was off to fight vordekai so I wasn't entirely over powered or made the best kingdom choices cause I wanted him to join my kingdom as megar, my kingdom failed right before I got to his tomb and it set me back so far that I just started a new campaign instead.
Yeah the kingdom management part (and all the time limit in the game) were the biggest downside in Kingmaker for me. I really hope that Wrath of the Righteous won't have those.
@@Skylair95 I remember the devs saying that was one of the biggest complaints about kingmaker was the time limits on events and certain quests and that they were going to improve on it so hopefully it wont be the exact same
@@Skylair95 The time limits, the animations and some of the vfx was a turn off for me. Couldn't finish the game because of it.

But as funny as facing an Elder Water Elemental was in Level 3 random encounter, the breaking of so many saves was a nightmare.
I played this game three times... and for the first two I stopped playing after 2X and 4X hours... because of the bugs.

uz in wasteland you have to play tactical to get the shot there is almost no chance you position well and you get the hit
But in kingmaker I remember fighting a giant snake for thirty minutes

I got stuck somewhere. It has been a couple months since I have played kingmaker. From what I remember it was in some cavern system with really pretty flowers that would teleport me to a different part of the pretty flowers. I think there was a Basidirond that I could not get passed. How did you manage your kingdom to not be destroyed? I seem to run out of time pretty quickly.
Is it when you 1st went to visit Nyrissa? After you became a Baron? Or are you talking about When you have to stop the Everblooming Flower?

Just started playing kingmaker. Awesome game thus far. I just can’t stop reloading my saves. This game is really challenging for someone like myself that’s starting to play crpg. Still love this game to pieces.
This is like "The Force Unleashed" of the RPG games. Power, pure power and visual spectacle.
Yeah, it's a shame more tabletop based/CRPGs don't have that feeling of godlike power when you get to the upper ranks. Some do, Pillars of Eternity makes you feel pretty powerful at higher rank Wizard/Druid/Priest levels, and the fighter classes become pretty absurd as well, but still you don't feel THAT powerful.
Baldurs Gate 2 lets you feel pretty powerful, but I think that's because they put the nutty high level spells in from tabletop, which are often missing from other such games.
But even then, at high level you are meant to, and do, equal minor gods/higher beings. But many games don't really show that ascent to power.
I like mythic levels because of that, it is stupid, and not even all that fun in tabletop, because of how powerful the characters are. But in a game like this, where they can throw sooooo many enemies at us, and not have it take three days for a combat round, we can get the feeling of ascent to godhood (or insert mythic path here) that mythic levels represent.
"visual spectacle"? Do you really trust a trailer that the only purpose is for something to look good?
I'll get my hopes up when they upgrade those awful animations and effects.
This does look very good, but "The Force Unleashed" was TRASH.

I spent all of 2020 with kingmaker, and that's barely hyperbole. It was the only thing I played through many months of quarantine.
That being said I'm ready to lose my life fighting off demons and trying to get a champion waifu (I thought I saw Seelah as one of the images for this game but I'm not sure anymore)

normally i just play games after making sure there are no game breaking bugs, so i hope i dont have to wait 1 year, again, just to play this pathfinder.

Recently started playing Kingmaker (I'm a console peasant lol) and am now saving madly so I can get a PC and pick this up at launch. Owlcat you guys are amazing.
Man I am so fucking hyped. The game looks absolutely gorgeous and I've heard basically nothing but good things about the AP so it should be great. Also that fucking transformation at 1:07...yeah this is really,really starting to look like pathfinder now. Also I just can't wait to try out all of the hybrid classes like warpriest that the first game was missing.
Don't get me wrong kingmaker is good and all,but it was missing so much stuff it felt bit like a ''light version'' of PF.

As unlikely as it seems to be, I would love to one day play this on my PS4. To have an epic game like this on my shelf next to the likes of Pathfinder Kingmaker, Baldur's Gate 1&2, Divinity Original Sin 1&2, and Pillars of Eternity 1&2 would be a beautiful thing.

So we still on track for mid this year release? I havent heard anything major from this game outside of this video since I backed it.
The beta drops today so I imagine it's still on track.
I think they delayed the beta by about a week from its original release date. If i had to hazard a guess, this game will come out at most 1 month from its announced date.
Pretty sure they will delay it. Kickstarter pushed so many goals, so they will need more time to implement them.

Love the original so far, never was able to get the custom portraits to work though
I'm a little late, but what's your problem exactly? Finding the folder from your desktop is a pain, but there's an icon at the bottom of the portrait selection menu in character creation that will open directly to it, and from there you just copy the images into the numbered folders.

Looking great guys, UI is stunning, graphics slick and gameplay fun!
A little friendly feedback: the opening seems very rushed, I dont mean the graphical bugs (its beta, that's fine) but the way you arrive in town, and barely 2 minutes later, Deskari just drops out of no where, a dragon suddenly appears, then dies, and then you fall down into a dungeon for 2+ hours.
There isn't any time to get used to the status quo, or understand the worldwound, or how people view this dragon living among them etc. There is no attachment.
Similarly, due to this it means there isn't any time to build up tension about the demons invading, or explain why they cant just teleport in normally, the context isn't really laid out to show WHY this is so unusual.
(Also wastes all that work that went into making the festival look so good if we barely see it!)
The moment you are standing in the middle of the carnage just chatting to the halfling guard seems kind of silly as.well...people are dying, Satan just killed your national hero and you and him are chatting casually while demons are less than 15 foot away from you? It feels a little uncanny and awkward.
I love me some Pathfinder, so *I* know this stuff, but 90% of the audience isn't going to get it, I suspect reviewers will pick on that, so I hope you can expand a little here?

So I’m in no way against a new Pathfinder game buuuut, I would also get really excited for a Starfinder one
Broke my cardinal rule of no Kickstarter or Early access and backed this game. I joined Kingmaker far later than most but was also frustrated with the final third of the game. Things became noticeably buggier, encounters lacked in variety (Looking at you Wildhunt, how about you Gaze at deez nuts?) and boy did the game start to chug/stutter. Despite that it was all worth it.
For all that is good and holy DO NOT release the game until you genuinely feel most of the glaring bugs have been ironed out. Put the Beta phase to good use. I cannot wait to jump into the world of Pathfinder again :D!
Does this or next game will have craft item system? Love to craft godlike multi effects items from super rare materials than pre-item list. If high or low level enemies can also have weapons with random effects to screw with player team and army is fun as well battle will color full and challenge with that.
I own the game but never finish lol, the saved data corrupted and I am too lazy to start over with city building and schedule tight boss battle, I am the type to do side quest first before doing main, and this game not allowing me to do that.
So.. can we get to admin a kingdom or something like before? you know.. do you have any more of thoseeeee?
Pathfinder king maker was one of the best rpg definitely want to play wrath of righteous.hopefully less bugs then first game though
