Nice, I grew up in Saint Petersburg. fished all over. Everything has changed so much. No more 4 snook allowed . June around south Port Tampa on the flats was awesome, large snook wade fishing with my Shakespeare 2062 real and Betts 8' rod! top water... FYI out going low!
@@RustyReels you'll have to try it more than once to start figuring it out but once you do you will be glad you did. Some nights 15 inchers will be the smallest. And you'll find that pilchards and genuine sardines are the best bait for snapper, hands down. Mojarras are good but they're just too fragile in comparison

Yeah I'm 71. I remember when the snook fishing was good and they were big. They get excited over a10 pounder nowadays

Try the Skyway at night, spring and summer if you want to catch some really decent snapper.
