Sir pls continue your course... It's damn to the point and meets the need of today's (Gen-z) students mentality so accurately.... You being on break is a lossmaking decision for us.....
I am in my fourth year and will be joining as a software engineer in August. However, product design has really piqued my interest in the last few weeks. I find it more interesting and comes more "naturally" to me. Like, I've built several apps and released them on the Play Store and found the UX part to be more enjoyable than the technical decisions I make. Would you say UX is really much more competitive even for senior positions? r/UXDesign seems to be full of horror stories about the current market and I wonder if the job market will be similar to the pre-covid times ever again and how can I switch to product design. I am a bit confused about my long term career (whether I should stick to swe or transition to a product design role). Your inputs will be really helpful.
NGL, The market is tough in India for now. You can learn UX irrespective of if you want to switch or not, the knowledge is transferable if you ever in future wants to get into product or business, so effort will not go wasted for sure.
Bhaiya, i want to take admission in nit rourkela industrial design branch I am worried whether it will be good or not for me How can i contact you? If possible, can you give me your 5 minutes?
